Tuba City was not my first choice as a place to break the trip from Sedona to Moab but it turns out to be better than I expected. There are dinosaur tracks and other geological formations you can tour, although we had to skip them...More
This was one if the best motels I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, crisp linens, pleasant and helpful staff. Beautiful decor in keeping with the Navajo tradition. Complementary fry bread in the evenings. Fun!
The complementary breakfast at the restaurant next door...More

We were on a family road trip out west and only stayed here because it was the only hotel within miles. We parked in the lot in front of the hotel back door--right beside a family in an RV site. We had a large plastic...More

As your previous respondent said it is an easy drive from the Grand Canyon. There are obviously tours of the Grand Canyon but if you refer to tours from Tuba City we certainly didn't see any. Most people seemed to be using it as a staging post to their next destination and it is not really tourist oriented.. There are places you could drive to but they are quite a distance and as we were due to visit them later we frankly struggled to find much to do. If you are prepared to do some research (which we didn't) you may well come up with something. Sorry that this is not more dynamic but hope it is of use.
