Crafted and gardened into the cliffside of Lake Atitlan this hotel is a gem. The gardens are fantastic the setting is breathtaking, the accommodation comfortable and the service is excellent, giving a warm included feeling. There are terraces for breakfast, balconies for a quite sundowner and paths through the gardened hillside. Diner is seated together which creates a great atmosphere...

Found out about it on Trip Advisor, had no idea such a beautiful place existed in Lake Atitlan, and has been there for ever! Rooms are cozy and very well decorated, each room has it's own balcony and private view to the lake, service is great, food is delicious and prices are realistic, the experience pays for itself. Got to...

I fell in love with the Lake here. I was in room 15 and it was perfect for one person, two would even be fine. The private balcony was amazing and the room was so quaint and nicely decorated. I immediately felt comfortable here. The bathroom and room was very clean and in great condition. I did not think the...

This hotel is spread up a cliff on the side of lake Atitlan. It is mostly accessible by boat. The accommodations are very nice and the staff are wonderful. They will work hard to arrange experiences for you and meet your needs. The food at the restaurant is delicious and they gladly accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions. One of...

Pleasant stay on the lake and easy to visit nearby villages by boat taxi. The views are amazing. Comfortable rooms. Food is okay. Staff is well trained. We loved the hot tub in the evening overlooking the lake I did not like the spiders

We stayed 3 nights at Lake Atitlan area during our trip to Guatemala. One day we went to have a lunch at La Casa del Mundo Hotel. I don't know about the hotel inside, but the place of this property is absolutely marvelous. To sit on the balcony, have a lunch and enjoy the view of the lake – couldn't...

We were travelling to Lake Atitlan on a shuttle and happen to be sitting beside the owner of Case Del Mundo, (who, along with his wife and locals, built it himself). He was very modest about the place and undersold its beauty. We decided to try it out and stay the night. This place is beautiful! Every room, every building,...

We took a boat over for lunch and stayed the afternoon. Really picturesque hillside retreat with multiple grottos among the hillside to sit and visit with friends. The lunch was very good and service perfect. Even if you are not staying there it is well worth a visit for lunch and lingering.

I have stayed at this hotel twice. Food is high quality, view breathtaking and staff attentive. Lots of balconies to rest and relax. Kayaks available, boat dock for arrival from Pana, showers divine. Cash only. Will be back.

We were looking forward to our second stay at Casa del Mundo and were not disappointed. The place is a gem of a small hotel with comfortable rooms, quiet surroundings, and excellent food. I especially appreciated the window screens (rare for Guatemala) the hot water and private nooks where you can relax. The staff were uniformly friendly and very responsive...
