We just stayed 5 nights at Las Caletas and overall we have to say, that it is a little too basic for what you pay. Before we booked we read all the good reviews and were a little disappointed. We did stay in the most expensive room though: the shower did not even have a shower head, the pillows and...

My wife and I just returned from our two week Osa adventure and decided to spend our last 5 nights at Las Caletas. We arrived by boat and felt welcomed as soon as we landed. The ground keepers offered to carry our bags up to the hotel which sits on a great lookout over the ocean which comes into view...

We stayed in Las Caletas for six days and everyday we had a great experience. Everything was an adventure. Like sleeping in a tent with howler monkey right beside, observing sloth, toucan, crocodile, koati, monkey, etc in their own environment. Having a couple of Scarlett Maccaw flying just up you, that was incredible, and what about a tapir resting in...

We had a wonderful time at Las Caletas, it was a great place to stay. It is a rustic lodge setting in a remote area that backs up to the Jungle. Plenty of wildlife to view, and a great place to get away from it all. This is a place to go enjoy the peace and quiet and enjoy the...

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the rooms very simple while we did have electricity I felt the humidity of the area should include a fan. The room was cleaned daily but the linens were never changed. I had read prevous reveiws about the food and was disappointed with the quality of the food. I felt the portions...

Not much too add to other reviews really: great place, fantastic food ( and we are not easy to satisfy on that part normally :-)), dream location overlooking the sea, with lots of bird life watchable from your hammock. We stayed in the front tent, which is really great and has good cross ventilation at night, so we slept very...

This place is fabulous. We had never stayed at an all inclusive place before, and really loved the way that eating with all the other guests created a great social atmosphere. The food was excellent, the service was wonderful and the guide, Jose, was fabulous. The rooms were very clean and were decorated with fresh flowers every day. The open...

Las Caletas is a rustic, removed from the beaten path, lodge. If you want someone to being standing at your elbow, wiping your chin after every bite, go pay for it at some ultra expensive resort. If you want either a quiet and relaxing or adventurous, yet outstanding, quality experience, this is the place. Great food + fantastic setting, for...

This place is fantastic. I say this after we changed from our room to one of the spacious platform tents which zip all the way to keep out bugs. They're very private and have good ventilation with lots of screens and a very comfortable queen size bed. There's a short walk to a very clean bathroom with shower which is...

Las Caletas was a perfect choice for our honeymoon. It was just the right combination of 'roughing it' (geckos on the walls of our room!), and luxury (fantastic food, unbelievably beautiful location). Our guide, Jose, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Jolanda and David, the owners, were able to hook us up with any number of activities: horseback riding, night hikes to...
