My 13 year old son and I traveled to Drakes via Nature Air for 2 nights and 3 days with the main purpose of diving out at Cano Island. The staff was great, the diving was what we expected. For the time of year it was better than expected. The food was very good. It had the right combination of...

We stayed for four nights at Jinetes and has an experience that exceeded our greatest expectations. The food was superb and more than ample. The staff were friendly and helpful beyond belief. The tour guiding was beyond expectations and we saw more animals and interesting tropical forest sights than we could ever have expected. The snorkeling at Cano was first...

We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of our trip to Costa Rica and loved Drake Bay - it's a beautiful and fairly remote area which is well worth a visit. Our room was pretty basic but clean and comfortable, it had very high ceilings with windows right at the top so there was no view out, which...

We called the resort from San Jose, CR the day before we were to head down to Jinetes de Oso and we were told the diving was great. So we spent the whole next day traveling to get there (bus, taxi, boat taxi through mangrove forest and ocean, etc.) and when we arrived they informed us the diving season was...

I think it is remarkable how a reasonable and fair minded person can condemn the diving at Cano Island for two months (August and September) based upon an untimely three day experience in September. If after reading this review and my response, you are still unsure about booking with us in August or September or for any other month. Please...

If you want an affordable tropical adventure that combines rainforest exploration and deep sea water sports, Jinetes de Osa will fit the bill perfectly, as we found out. The hotel is simple, clean and well-located on beautiful Drake Bay on the Osa Penninsula. Food is great. Staff is delightful. Excursions, which range from horseback riding into the jungle to scuba...

Jinetes de Osa is like a summer camp for well-traveled adventurers. Beautiful setting right off the beach and a very positive, upbeat management on site. Good dive op as well with cool divemasters: CK and Oscar. Great birding with Scarlet Macaws making regular appearances. There is nothing like birding from a hammock and bangin' out life species. Coffee is set...

My husband and I spent several days at Jinetes, and had many amazing adventures. The diving was amazing. I'm a new diver and was very nervous about going down, but the dive master (Vincent) was wonderful - and made me feel at ease. The horse riding to the waterfall was also very charming! And of course, it was amazing just...

We stayed 4 nts and totally enjoyed all the different people you meet at dinner. It almost feels like you're at summer camp. Carrie and Jessica line you out the night before on your next days excursion (Cano, Corcovado, fishing, hiking etc.) They're like counselors with their clipboards telling you what you need for the next days adventure. Rooms are...

We had a great time in Jinetes meeting some great guests and amazing staff. Food was great and there is a lovely deck to lie in hammocks overlooking the sea. They set us up with some great activities as well.
