My Wife an I decided to stay a week in this resort for our honeymoon, and it was our quintessential vacation. We took advantage of many of the excursions: Night Tour of the jungle, horseback riding to a water fall, Hiking through the beautiful Corcovado National Park, Scuba diving off Isla de Caño, and a relaxing Message in our room.... My wife and I recently spent four nights at Pirate Cove Hotel in Drake Bay. We had looked at many of the other properties in the area and finally settled on Pirate Cove. Let's just say that it could not have been a better choice. This is one fine, well run, small lodge on the edge of the rain forest... More

We had the bungalow directly in front of the beach. a little bit noisy in the night, because of the waves, but really romantic. what a nice moment to get up in the morning and be the first to see the ocean. Susanna is a delight, she's really relaxed and peaceful, also a experienced dive master and we had a... More

We stayed here for a blissful week March 25-April 2. We came to dive, and the dive staff was fantastic. The diving at Cano island was phenomenal. Highlights were huge schools of fish, sharks, turtles and a dive where we were surrounded by manta rays swimming around and around us, like a ballet. Office staff also gave us everything we... More

Although we did not stay at the hotel, my son got certified at the hotel. Wilson, the dive master par excellance made it looks so easy, and to top it all off, we saw a manta ray on our fourth dive. As an experienced diver myself I can vouch for the professional and also fun approach Wilson had with my... More

We didn't stay here but dived with Willson from Pirate Cove. Everything was super easy and the equipment was all in good shape. Willson was a great dive master and guide. Saw a humpback whale on the way to Cano island and got time to take pictures. Also saw a manta ray diving - was great fun. Worth doing when... More

Perched up but with beach access. Being perched offers lovely breezes, pretty views, and cooler temps at the end of the day. The rooms are charming and efficient. They do not all have AC. They do have mosquito nets--appreciated! They all have private decks and hammocks and easy access to the main lodge where meals are served. Location is 25... More

This special place has a lot of highlights and some lows, so it's a bit tricky to rate. Positive things first: The lodge is wonderfully located, isolated on the beach of the wild Osa Peninsula. Food is serverd on a patio with views on the sea and trees where sometimes Scarlet Macaws come to feed. There are smallish but spotless... More
