We took our adult son with us for a seven day stay at Pirate Cove. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and feel very comfortable giving it a rave review. Pirate Cove is not a luxurious place to stay but it is very comfortable, well appointed, and spotlessly clean. The three of us shared a beachfront bungalow with a double bed and...

Our family had a great stay at Pirate Cove. We would definitely like to come back here! We would recommend this to anyone who would like to take a step back from the stress and have all your needs taken care of. The family style meals are absolutely fantastic. The meals are served on time and they looked elegant and...

We stayed there three nights and booked two tours. The first one was to Corcovado NP. I definitely would do it again, but i would hope for better weather :( it rained all the time when we were there so we could not do our second excursion in the end. The rooms are great and quite big. We stayed in...

This is a review of the dive operator only; we didn't stay at this property. Wilson and the crew were great, no complaints there. The dives themselves were not particularly spectacular; I've seen other reviews that say the snorkeling is a better value at Cano Island. A few observations: 1. Thin shorties are the standard equipment, and you won't get...

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your dives with Cano Divers, but I am responding to a few factual errors and misunderstandings in your review. 1. If you get picked up from the beach, you are correct in saying that we do not allow you to try on your equipment at that moment. However, you could have passed directly to the hotel...

Pirate cove was amazing! We stayed here for 3 nights, the staff work together like a well oiled machine. On arrival the staff carry guests bags off the boat and to the rooms. Check in was a breeze over a welcome drink. There are free kayaks to use and the use of welly boots for tours. The rooms have hammocks...

Our group of three were making our way down the Osa. We made a last minute decision that we did not want to camp in Drake Bay, we wanted a hotel for the night. Early afternoon we started calling hotels and Pirate Cove was the only to answer. I spoke to the owner in San Jose who had his Assistant(maybe...

My husband, 19 year old son and I went on 4 fantastic fun filled dives with divemaster Wilson of Pirate Cove around Christmas, 2015. To this day, our son wishes that we had done more diving! It was that good. Our hotel, Corcovado Jungle Lodge only offered scuba with this operator and I was curious to learn as much as...

Note: We did not stay at the hotel, we only used the SCUBA/snorkeling excursions. Our group of 2 new-ish divers and 2 virgin snorkelers were picked up together from the stone dock at La Paloma. We all headed out in the dive boat to meet the snorkeling boat and trade some passengers, but found a pod of four humpback whales...

Excellent place to hide. Plenty of possibilities to enjoy nature in a secluded, still virgin place. Very friendly owner and employees. Near the Corcovado Park, a beautiful, wildlife biological reservation. Also, at 18 kms (about 30 min by speedboat) from the Isla del Caño, a wonderful place for snorkeling. I recommend it without hesitation.

We've been 3 days/nights at this small boutique resort and found it a perfect hideaway place to stay, next to the beach and its natural surroundings of natural reserve Drakebay. Lodges are great and gives you that adventures feeling. We took a few tours and loved it, especially with Osa Rural Tours and its guide Danny Chavez hiking towards the...
