Marla and I were looking for a place to both explore the jungle and see the inhabitants and also relax in comfort during down time. We were in no rush to fill the hours each day but get immersed in the environment and local culture with the staff. We got everything and so much more. The daily tours/events filled each...

It pleases us to know that you had a chance to immerse yourself in the culture and the environment….and most importantly, I can sleep well tonight knowing you ordered the French Toast three days in a row!.....Thank you. We’re happy we could make your vacation a great experience.

The staff could not have been more friendly and eager to please, the accommodation was beautiful and secluded. The food was lovely and the setting was wonderful. We enjoyed the mix of activities and relaxation and the discovery of the beaches South of the hotel grounds was the icing on the cake. When everything is laid on and to such...

Thank you Judy. You’re right, there are some pretty stellar beaches South of the resort. Walking the trail to Rio Claro and beyond, you can find many secluded, private beaches. We’re happy you had a chance to relax and enjoy yourself. Thank you for the nice review.

Clean, comfortable accommodations with incredible staff. Food is excellent. Staff skillfully help organize hikes, tours. They also troubleshoot any issues with local airlines, taxis etc. Carefree stay in a beautiful location.

Thanks to Copa, this was one of the best trips we have ever taken. The staff was amazing and the tours that they offer make it such a unique experience. We felt very comfortable there and would have loved to stay a lot longer. Usually we are ready to go home. The amenities were top notch and the food was...

We’re so happy that this was one of the best trips you’ve ever taken. Our staff thanks you too! Your compliments and kind words mean a lot to us. As you mentioned, the tours are “unique”...This entire region of the Osa Peninsula is unique. We’re so grateful that we get to experience it on a daily basis. The intensity, beauty...

Stayed at this wonderful lodge near the Corcovado National Park - only access is by boat but it is well worth it. Nestled between trees and almost on the beach, it is a great place to chill out or get involved in various wildlife activities, all organised by the lodge. We did a great night hike and a hike to...

We appreciate the kind words Dominic. We believe that because our resort is boat access only, it keeps us as eco-friendly and remote as possible. It’s what prevents the animals from being disturbed into hiding while adding a bit of fun and adventure to the overall experience. 4 days was a good amount of time to properly soak in quite...

My friends who follow me on Facebook know that I love my exotic, outdoor vacations in places like Bonaire or the Canadian Rockies. This one topped them all by a mile. The wildlife photographic opportunities afforded by their tours were just amazing, Between my wife and I, we probably shot a few thousand photos during 5-days here! The staff treated...

It sounds like you guys did it right. All those wonderful tours you went on gave you a real understanding of this region and what it has to offer. 20 plus years later and it still amazes me on a daily basis. When we set out to build the resort, we didn’t have a specific idea of how we were...

My wife and I spent five days here in January 2016 and will never forget it. The food, staff/service and grounds are incredible. It is so relaxing and peaceful there, a few steps from the ocean but also in the rain forest. All the delicious food was included (every single meal was fantastic), as were a few tours, so it...

Our stay at Capo de Arbol was fabulous. The cabinas are clean and beautiful, each with its own view. The service is exemplary. And the location is spectacular. Hi Rebecca. First off, we’re so happy to have been the highlight of your trip to Costa Rica. First timers can sometimes be a bit intimidated when planning to visit this region. To some, planes boats and van seems like a lot of travel to get to a destination. Until you actually get here, you don’t realize how easy it...

We stayed 3 nights in the Balsa Cabina in January 2016. It’s described as a “luxury beach-front eco-resort” and it’s exactly that. You access it by boat and you are situated right on the edge of the tropical rainforest, with beautiful birds such as the toucan regular visitors. The quality of the fixtures and fittings in our room were top...

We strive to be as eco-friendly as possible. That’s always been part of our mission. Many nights were spent here over 20 years ago when there was nothing but a little shack we had built for ourselves to enjoy. We wanted to preserve that initial feeling and share it with our guests. I’m happy that we made up for the...
