It is difficult for me to put into words the amazing experience my family had during our 5-night stay here. The staff and the amenities at Copa surpassed our expectations; in one word they were amazing! A hidden gem for sure! As this was the first time traveling internationally, we were a bit nervous thinking of all the “what if’s”... More

We’re so pleased that we were able to pacify all of your “what-if’s”. We get a lot of guests telling us that they were nervous at first and had reservations about coming out to our remote location in Drake Bay. The boat rides, the plane, no road leading in…guests can be a little apprehensive, that is, until they get here... More

Copa de Arbol is within my top 3 favorite hotels in all Costa Rica AND it's located in my favorite region, The Osa Peninsula. There are only 10 thatched-roof bungalows that are all (wonderfully) decorated with an eco-chic, Balinese vibe. Every bungalow comes with A/C, which is a luxury feature in itself when staying down in The Osa Peninsula. Copa... More

When our guests go out on a fishing trip and come back with dinner for everybody at the resort....that’s called “keeping it in the family”. That mindset is contagious here at Copa De Arbol. When our guests are happy, we’re happy. Thank you for the wonderfully detailed review. More

This is an ideal resort for families to experience a tropical rainforest. You are literally in the middle of a rain forest with animals everywhere. You are also right by a beach. It is definitely a 5 star experience. Here are some observations: 1. You will need to get to Drake Bay (most likely by small plane from San Jose... More

We love it when guests come to the resort and get to experience so much in a relatively short amount of time. The night walk, morning bird walk, Corcovado and snorkeling....you guys had a pretty full schedule. Thank you for calling us a “unique eco-lodge and our staff thanks you for the kind words. One day we’ll have a solution... More

This place should be on everyone's bucket list. My husband and I had the most wonderful and memorable time. The staff are so genuine and so family oriented. I want to thank all of them - Mike and Keely, Matula, Randall, Rainer, Henry, Rudy, Gustavo, Captain David and I apologize if I didn't name all. It was very hard to... More

We spent four memorable nights here in March with our teenage daughter. We flew to Palmar Sur and enjoyed the boat trip down the Sierpe river to get to the hotel. Arriving by boat was charming and we were always delighted with a warm welcome and a cold drink whenever we arrived back at the lodge. The service is truly... More

We take your compliments to heart. We were grateful to have you as guests. You guys lived it up and experienced a lot in 4 days. The Sierpe river mouth is my favorite way to arrive. Its called “the scenic route”. Our initial vision was to create a place where we could share it’s magic with the lucky few who... More
