We did not make it through our night at Hotel Arena y Sol. After being in bed two ours, my friend was being bitten by something all over her body. Turned out it was bedbugs. We found them in the bed all over. Also, the room was filthy and the shower didn't work (was held together with a stick). We...

Friendly staff but rooms were old and filthy. No hot water, no breakfast. We went in low Season, maybe in high season service is better. We have stayed in better places for that price. I totally do not recommend this place, though the guy that attended us was nice.

This is a Costa Rican hotel, no hilton luxury but the price is right, the staff very courteous, the owner /manager pleasant & accommodating. No shortage of smiles. Like most budget CR rooms, the shower was cool, but the pool was pleasantly warm:) the Beach is not really swim friendly. rocky & high waves, rip tides. If you are a...

Super friendly staff, willing to accommodate all my needs, exceeded my expectations. Had a great time staying at Arenas y Sol. They let me stay a little over than check out time so I could add in an extra surf session before I left!

I spend the weekend with my wife and 2 year old son there and ? The place is a bit run down, there is a welcome desk that a guy (manager) seats and is a very nice guy, he delights every one with cool music, The place in the first impression looks rustic, not to luxurious but when you are...

No parking that I could tell, but we backpacked in. The bartender seemed to always be there and was quite friendly. Food was good in the restaurant. AC was great, but the suicide shower did provide a little shock when used. Pool was cool and refreshing and somewhat sheltered. No views. Just a little secure quiet place in the middle...

We stayed at Arena y Sol after Envision festival in February. It was our first "hostel" experience so we weren't sure what to expect. They charged us $50 U.S. dollars for a tiny box of a room. It was dirty and the bed was the hardest in Central America. They were not friendly and hassled us about having friends in...

I stayed at Arena y Sol for 4 nights at the end of my holiday after staying just outside of Dominical at the serene and idyllic Coconut Grove for the week on a retreat. I loved being right in town near the shops, restaurants and beach for convenience but it was still so peaceful. It is a clean, affordable, charming...

I was at Hotel Arena y Sol last November, I really appreciate the service and friendly attention that I received. The installations are O.K for the price and is close to the beach, the restaurant is cheap and very good food! They have to work hard but are on a good way.
