We stayed here last weekend and didn't want to leave! The place is a rustic lodge with huge wrap around porches and a million dollar view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Bert the owner is a wonderful host. He was hospitable, kind and very accommodating. We wanted to swim in a waterfall. He gave us instructions for one nearby his...

I was lucky to spend two of my best nights in Costa Rica at Bella Vista! The place has a breathtaking view of Dominical, surrounded by beautiful nature, animals, and of course the beach. Very welcoming lodges, cozy, and the owner Bert gives it the perfect final touch! He is very friendly, attencious, and the food he cooks at night...

Spent 4 nights at the Belle Vista. Bert the owner was very accommodating. He knows how to treat his guests. Bert is very familiar with the lay of the land and all it has to offer(and that is a lot). the lodge is rustic, well equipped, and Bert cooks dinner for you every night if you want. Each morning we...

We stayed for two nights in the Bella Vista Lodge. The lodge is up on a hill and has a view over green trees, the beach of Dominicalito and the Pacific. The road to the place is steep, but easy to reach with a 4wd. The owner, Bert, seems also willing to pick guests up from Dominical or Dominicalito. If...

If you're looking for awesome views, quiet and fantastic food, this is the place! Arriving here isn't easy, but worth it. The night we arrived was stormy and I had been driving for quite a while, and didn't want to go back out for dinner. When we called Bert for directions, he was kind enough to ask if we had...

We found Bert's place on a vacation website. Our family wanted an adventurous, rustic vacation while in Costa Rica. There are plenty of 5 star hotels to stay at, but we prefer the off the beaten path places with a slower pace and a more local feel and Bella Vista Lodge is just that. In order to get here, you...

When my girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere to stay in the Dominical Area, we wanted a vacation that was half-active / half lazy-as-can-be -- and the Bella Vista helped us meet that goal. First off, yes -- you need a 4x4. By the end of our week long trip we'd nicknamed our little Rav4 (rented by vamos rent-a-car...

I have found my second home in Costa Rica! If you want to get away from the crowds and still have easy access to everything the Southern Pacific Zone has to offer, you have to stay with Bert. A great chef and host, he has the best rates and services in the entire area. Horseback riding, diving or snorkeling in...

It was my second trip there this year and I am planning the next one already! I miss the howler monkeys wishing me good morning everyday, Bert's great food and hospitality and so many things to do locally. This place really is paradise without exception. From the amazing views to the layed back atmosphere, it cannot be beat!

This is where we ended our trip in Costa Rica, and I really wish we would've started there and we would have stayed the whole two weeks. Picturesque views, great company, tremendous food... I have found my new home away from home in Bella Vista. Trust me, if you stay elsewhere, you will be missing out on something special. Thanks...

“Up top in the community area, I'd say the Toucan room is your best bet. Down below in the cabins, I'd opt for the top unit if possible. Bottom cabin can be pretty noisy depending on who is upstairs.”
