Detailed Reviews
My stay at Quarto is one of the most memorable stays. I was travelling alone to Goa and needed a safe place, neither very far away nor very near to beaches... Quarto is best situated for people who do not want to miss the fun in Goa and, at the same time, wants to come back to a quite surroundings. Mornings are the best part of stay at Quarto since it overlooks to open fields... Mr Nicholas is a very warm host. He and his staffs were very nice and helpful... He also lent me his "cycle" to go around Goa... I stayed in a small, cozy and clean room with a sit out all for myself... Overall it was a beautiful stay and thanks a ton to My Nicholas and team... I look forward to visit again, soon!!!

I went to Quarto de Casa with friends over the last weekend and was super eager to write a review as soon as I came back! It was a wonderful experience, we were 4 girls and immediately loved the place from the moment we walked in. The pristine, white surroundings, the clean rooms, the picture perfect location and the most gracious host ever, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Nicholas, our host was wonderful and helped us a lot with the itinerary as well, he suggested some very nice places to visit. All in all, a great place to stay. Would recommend it to everyone!!

Enjoyed our Stay at Quarto. Everything exceeded our expectations.
Nicolos had arranged for a scooter without us even asking for one 👍🏻, that was awsome and helped us in our travel around Goa. We were upgraded to a Superior Room which was very nice and comfy with a mini fridge. There is an open kitchen were you can prepare your tea and sit in the terrace and dream with it.The surrounding area is beautiful with greenery and just the way we wanted it to be. The Ma de deus church is just 2mins by scooter and has a very beautiful view in the night. All the beaches Calangute,Baga etc are around 10 mins. You can order great food from nearby restaurants like foxes Fiesta😋. Nicolos is an amazing host and among all our travels we have never seen such amazing hospitality.
We were even offered a complimentary bottle of Wine and had a nice afternoon discussion with Nicolos. If you are looking for a relaxing stay and the quintessential Goan Hospitality then look no further . On the day of our checkout we were offered conplimentary traditional Goan breakfast of Chiken Xacuti and bread. Out next visit to Goa will be a longer one ,thanks to this memorable Trip.

We stayed at the Quatro de Casa Tipri for 10 days at the beginning of Feb 2015. This was our third place to stay and was by far the best. We had a large room and en suite bathroom plus a large sun terrace with fabulous views over the fields. The host, Nicolas, could not do enough to ensure our stay was everything that we wished for. The rate was very reasonable and was good value locally. The accommodation is best suited to couples who want to get away from the hassles of the beach resorts but wish to stay not too far away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend this guest house and will return.

Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your review. First of all I apologize for the delay in replying, as it has been a busy season for us. You were prompt to write a nice summation of your stay immediately after departing from Goa. Thank you for the elegant bed netting which has become a decorative element in our AC room... it was a nice thought. Your comments about us has well captured - The audience who can best enjoy our home stay – i.e, couples - The locational advantage of not being close to the chaos of the beach front yet being able to conveniently connect to the coastal area Nice of you to recommend guests to us and we forward to seeing you soon again with us Thank you once again --- Nicolaus d Souza TIPRI

Booked Casa Tipri after reading previous reviews and we loved it. From check in to check out we were very well looked after by the host Nicholas himself. He is a great guy and genuinely friendly. Situated in a quaint village called Saligaon, the location of Casa Tipri is not far away from the tourist attractions and beaches. You can hire a scooter from the host who will gladly give you tips about restaurant and places to explore as per your choice of activities.
We had booked a normal room which he upgraded to the suite at a nominal charge as there was a cancellation on the 2nd night of our stay and suite was available. He wanted us to experience the suite as it was worth every moment we spent there.
The suite had a large private terrace which has a good amount of sun. The early morning view is heavenly and you get to experience the real Goan lifestyle. The suite had a large bathroom and was tastefully designed with lovely antique furniture.
The other room we booked was placed about 200 meters away from the main villa and is situated in a nice and spacious bungalow. It is an ideal place for large families, or even for couples as each room has a complete privacy and a private balcony.
The cleanliness is top class in all rooms including the bath and bed linen.
We left the place with a promise to return.

Away from the hustle-bustle of over-crowded Goan beaches, Quattro de Casa Tipri is located amidst lush green paddy fields. We woke up to the sounds of peacocks, and though we couldn’t spot them, we saw numerous colorful birds like kingfisher, woodpecker, and others during the day. This 150 years old authentic Goan house has maintained its quaint rustic appeal. The wooden floor and ceiling and the intricately designed old wooden furniture complementing to the architecture create a classic Portuguese appeal. We had a living room with TV, spacious bed room with cabinets, kitchen with dining table, chairs, and a mini-bar loaded with chilled bear, and a bathroom to ourselves, and it was an unexpectedly royal vintage stay with all modern amenities. The complementary famous Goan port wine and the fruit basket made our day. And not to mention the complementary traditional Goan breakfast, which included lip smacking chicken curry, Goan homemade bread, and omelet. After a long active day, Quattro de Casa Tipri is the best place to relax. And if you prefer spending your day in-house watching TV, or reading a book, or pursuing your favorite art, or drinking, there is no other place more ideal than the peaceful Quattro de Casa Tipri. We were truly impressed by the treatment and the personalized attention our host Nicholas gave us. He personally came to pick us up, escorted us to our guest house, and took care of us in every possible way. He arranged a bike for us and helped us with our itinerary. Instead of going to typical tourist places, he suggested some unexplored locations which are usually missed out by people. He also arranged an early morning airport drop, and everybody in the house was up at 3 am to wish us bon voyage. Nicholas even gave us a Miranda souvenir as a parting gift. The staff was very polite and helpful too. Staying at Quattro de Casa Tipri was a wonderful experience. We cannot wait to go back.

The quintessential stay is 3-4 kms away from the Calungute Beach. The stay is a perfect place to hangout with friends. The house has 5 spacious rooms with all amenities. The owner Nicolas de Souza is friendly and cordial. I highly recommend this place for your holidays.

I stayed with family at Casa Tipri for 6 days in the last week of May 2014. My family has roots in Goa . I was looking for a place in North Goa...in a typical Goan village setting, but not too isolated to go back after a late dinner. Casa Tipri offered me just that. Near all the tourist destinations. It also gave us the flexibility to explore the countryside which we did. Have attached a photo of Casa Tipri taken by me on 30th May .
Nicolas deSouza ,who owns & manages Casa Tipri , offered us the spacious Heritage Suite. It was the icing on the cake. It has the the old Goan charm & a nice place for a family holiday. The service was excellent & the facilities were good.

We stayed here just after Christmas as I was too unwell to catch our bus to Hampi.
They found a great huge clean light room with a big balcony with lovely view of the surrounding area as they knew we would be spending a lot of time in the room. The bed was comfy and bathroom modern and clean with reliable hot water. The house has a large living area with dining area, TV, lounge and kitchen with tea making facilities, fridge and microwave.
The hotel is located in a beautiful location, great for birdwatching and close to a very pretty church and village. It is best to have some sort of transport however and they do rent scooters. The house in 5 minutes from a bus stop however if you prefer not to use a bike.
Nicholas is a fantastic house, making us feel very comfortable, offering fantastic recommendations for restaurants and activities.
Breakfast was provided for a fee and the old Portuguese heritage house (there are two buildings) and consisted of traditional goan dishes and an omelette with your choice of tea and coffee and was fantastic.
A great stay especially if you are interested in stating a beautiful historic house or want to be in peaceful, clean air away from the busy beach.
