Right after it opened, Casa Marialina had to close because of the COVID lockdown. I was one of the first guests to stay there when it reopened in August. As a stickler for cleanliness above all, I was delighted to find that the hotel is exactly as pictured. Sparkling clean, charmingly designed, with delicious food prepared in a clean and orderly kitchen. Saligao is a beautiful village with a lot to experience, and in the mornings you can hear the peacocks in the fields while having your tea overlooking the hotel pool. Lovely walks all around. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. Not a place for loud talking and noisy partying. Thank you to Vikson and Peter, warm and kind hosts, for a memorable stay. I hope to be back.
