I travelled to Goa with my band 4th Axis to play at the Sofar sounds concert in March 2019. Saligao Farm Cottages are situated in the midst of rice paddy fields and have some vegetable fields of their own; perfect for taking some rustic photos for your instagram account. The rooms are made of wood with all the essentials you need for your stay. Although there are electronic mosquito repellents in the rooms, I suggest you buy some mosquito repellent incense sticks from a nearby local shop. There is a small pool where you can chill when you are back from the beach but still high on energy. We happened to bump into Austin, the owner of the place, and he was super friendly. He invited us for dinner and offered some "Urak", the local Goan beverage when he got to know that we were musicians from New Delhi but we had to go to Mumbai for some studio sessions. Overall the stay at Saligao Farm Cottage was amazing and I really recommend this place. PS: If you are a musician, I suggest you inquire about the jam sessions that they host every thursday.…
The place is surrounded by never ending paddy fields and the farm in campus is also very big. It only has four cottages which gives a feeling of getaway. Popular beaches are few kms away. Hosts of this place are locals and really helpful and super friendly. I highly recommend this place.
This place is waiting to be discovered and will no doubt be more popular in the near future. The surrounding area of this homestay is both peaceful and beautiful and is within walking distance of the beach. Whilst you may end up paying for a few more taxis because of the distance to the beach, the cheap price of the accomodation more than compensates for this. The host and staff are also lovely and willing to help with any of your queries. Don't overpay by staying close to town, Saligao Farm Cottages is a far better alternative.
Cottages bit smaller in size, surrounded by green paddy fields, super clean, truely goan countryside within just couple of kms from major attractions in North Goa you need GPS navigation to reach here as there are no sign boards from main road. Friendly staff. Great stay
Visited with my colleagues. Was worried at first but loved it when we arrived. They have in total 4 wooden cottages nestled in interiors of Saligao (Vehicle is must), in the paddy fields, mornings were full with birds chirping, peacocks and view full of greenery all day long. Things I loved the most about this place, 1. Open Kitchen. Cook anything you want, with available ingredients. 2. Non AC Rooms- Still Cool. 3. Local Farm Style experience- Management arranges for local Goan food on prior request. Reason the title says dual lifestyle- Had time for ourselves during the day. Evenings were full of parties and bar hoppings. For My Pocket- Highly affordable. Looking forward for a next visit soon.
