This is my second stay here within a year and it is incredible as usual! Raven is such a great Hostess and Mark is a great Guy as well! Always a wonderful freshly prepared breakfast and Raven always talks into account that I am an insulin dependent diabetic and prepares a meal suitable for me! The conversations are always interesting...

Raven was an excellent host who kept our room clean and our clothes washed. Our room was cozy with breezes that kept us cool. The bathroom was clean and the shower was very nice. We had full run of her house! We ate outside for breakfast daily. We walked to her lava beach and saw the volcano steam in the...

Raven and Mark are great. The place is so unique everyone should experience it. But be open minded, it's got it's quirks, which is what makes it so good. Deducting one star because it's not for those seeking 5 star luxury. For instance the area can be pretty warm and humid and their is no AC. The cool outdoor shower...

Thank you for your feedback. It was wonderful to host you here in beautiful Kaimu on the Sea. No, this is not a 5 star luxury hotel. We are a simple beach house fronting an unspoiled black sands beach. There are views of the Lava coming down Kilauea and views of the plume of smoke as it hits the sea...

We had the pleasure of spending five nights in the Hawaiian Suite and it was just perfect. Raven, the innkeeper, is beautiful both inside and out, and she certainly went beyond our expectations to make us feel special. Chocolates, drinks, treats inside our room each day, delicious breakfasts, wonderful conversation and suggestions as to what to see and do in...

It was certainly a mutual pleasure sharing our home with you two. I only hope there will be more times shared in the near future. Our place becomes greater with the experiences we have with guests, and now new friends, such as yourselves. Mahalo and Aloha!

We are having a fantastic time staying with Raven and Mark, they could not be nicer, I would not hesitate to recommend staying here. Raven is a fantastic cook and Mark has a wealth of local knowledge to recommend places to visit.

Aloha and thank you for staying with us. You were wonderful to be around, and again, made us look at this beautiful realm with loving appreciation of how lucky we are to live here and share that time with special people like yourselves. May this year bring you love and fortune, and send you once more to our door again,...

Our stay with Raven and Mark was wonderful! Our visit to Hawaii would not have been the same without these two. We fell asleep wonderfully at this location. I was a little nervous at first after reading the reviews of the frogs at night, but it was actually very relaxing to fall asleep to their sounds! Waking up was the...

Raven and Mark created a lifetime event for my wife and Australia family. Welcoming us into her home, creating a wonderful meal, then meeting the kind local friends at the bar, we were filled with joy and laughter. The late night walk to watch earth being created before our eyes was an event will never forget ! PS Raven makes...

This place is very secluded yet easy to discover. The back yard leads to the black sand beach where you can walk to and enjoy tremendous views and privacy. Not the typical beach where you can swim or sun but surfing is good as well as scuba and snorkeling. But the high point here are Raven and Mark who could...

We wanted to experience the Hawaii of 1970s fantasies and not in the tourist way. Raven and Mark ensured that was the case. Their home, tucked in a tropical paradise, and sitting atop the 1955 lava flow was more than I could have imagined. We stayed in the Lava Room which is on the main floor. Do not expect expect...

Thank you so much for choosing to stay and share our life here on the beach, with the added extraordinary event of seeing new land being formed and transformed by our very active volcano, all from the safe viewing point of my home. We enjoyed your company, new insights into this place, and look forward to seeing you here again...
