We had a great time at this hotel... very clean, unique pet friendly hotel. The staff was so accomodating to both us and our pets. Our room (#5) had a private enclosed patio which made nightime potty breaks a breeze. The location was perfect... just a few steps from Tlaquepaque (shopping and pet friendly restaurants). We will definately return in...

What a fabulous place. Totally hip and cool, very laid back...just yummy. Our room even had its own little backyard/courtyard which our dogs loved. The outdoor fireplace lit every night, with a glass of vino in hand, in energy filled Sedona - life doesn't get much better!

El Portal Luxury Inn will be the best hotel you ever stay in. When we first got there, we were welcomed and showed to our room. The owner, Steve, is very helpful and they have just about everything there. The breakfast is excellent. My mom had El Portal Omelet twice in a row. She says it's better than Red's (in...

Our family of 4 (2 adults - 2 kids aged 7 & 9) stayed for 7 nights in the gorgeous suite #12. We had a lovely fireplace, beautiful living area and a private bedroom. Windows were everywhere offering exquisite views of the mountains. The hotel itself is warm, inviting and absolutely beautiful. El Portal gets everything right - from the...

Why Conde Nast selected El Portal Sedona as one of "The Top 50 Small Hotels in the WORLD" is apparent from the moment you approach the property. The location is wonderful. The reception / restaurant area is equally wonderful and, once you get a glimpse of the rooms............ you're hooked! Actually, "room" doesn't do them justice. Most are suites and...

Stayed for 2 nights in room #4 (Arts and Crafts). Overall a nice stay and would recommend. Pros: Beautifully decorated and spacious room with most all amenities. Nice private patio. Great breakfast. Room is clean. Great location. Lovely grounds. Friendly owners/staff. Cons: Price. Also, as other reviewers noted, this particular room has an issue where the toilet flushing in the...

One of the most unique properties that I have ever seen. We stayed in two different rooms and loved our stay. If you are in Sedona, you must try this inn.

If you want a predictable resort with obsequious service and homogenous opulence, don't come here. You can find that anywhere in the world. If you'd prefer a unique, personally tailored experience with a different kind of luxury delivered with casual integrity and a genuine "we can do that" attitude, try El Portal. It is no coincidence that it is listed...

Love this inn! Stumbled upon it because we needed to stay somewhere pet-friendly. Would recommend to anyone with or without a pet. Did not want to leave the room- it was so cozy. We had a small yard for our pooch and had a wonderful weekend relaxing. We will definitely be back!

We had a great girls weekend here in Jan'12! The hotel is lovely and the location is great - able to walk to shops/dining. Steve, the owner, is very helpful with sightseeing suggestions. The rooms are huge and would also be great for a family stay. Would definitely stay here again!
