Prescott, AZ is an especially historic and charming town and The Hassayampa Inn is an ideal place to stay. Its location could hardly be better with shops, restaurants, bars and historic sites very nearby, many in walking distance. As mentioned, the old lobby is lovely as is the lounge just off the lobby. It is an old hotel so, as...

first of all, the hotel, built in 1927, is in a league all its own; it is a classic. the center piece is a very large lobby with not one but two pianos and a gas-burning fireplace, the smell of which is complemented by a real cedar burning one outside. as to the bar, it is tiny and had the...

This historic inn has a nice lobby and character. Our room was small, not very clean and had a smell that we had to cover with deodorizer. I cleaned the ledge of the tile in the bathroom and the tissue was black. The front desk staff were generally very friendly. We had an issue with the Wi-Fi for our entire...

Located at the top of Gurley St., the Inn is a short walk down the hill to the town square. The Old courthouse occupies the center of the square and on the second Friday of December, the town lights the HUGE live Christmas tree. Thereafter, most of the small shops lining several streets around or adjacent to the square, host...

We had talked of staying at the Hassayampa for years, and now that we have, we will be back! I loved the combination of vintage charm and simple comfort. Front desk service was excellent, and we enjoyed eating breakfast and sampling the lemon ricotta pancakes at the restaurant, where the service was equally friendly. The location is unbeatable, just off...

I've never stayed at the hotel, but have eaten often at the restaurant. Refined dining. Service is very congenial and the wait staff have always accommodated our very demanding handicapped requirements. While not our best in Prescott, it is always a worthwhile visit.

Staff was friendly and helpful! room was a nice size. bathroom was small... but the room was clean and comfy. Beds were nice! There was no view from our room, even though we were mistakenly told there was. BUT the hotel is charming and welcoming. The staff bent over backwards to help with any requests we had. Wonderful staff and comfortable rooms...We had a king suite, and the sitting room space worked out well. Much surprised to find a high profile inn pet friendly. They even had a gift bag of treats for my 2 Bijons.Good food, good drinks good location. This is a great facility and the pricing was more than reasonable. Great Value!

Beautiful building and lobby. They have a parking lot across the street but it can get full very quickly. The only complaint is the employee operated elevator...if the employees are busy, guests must climb the stairs to their rooms. This hotel is not handicap friendly.

I have reviewed a lot of hotels, but with this one I don't even know where to start!!! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Known as the Grand Dame of Prescott, the Hassayampa Inn was built as a luxury Hotel in 1927 to entice Phoenix tourists to flee the summer heat. Nostalgic elegance with a restored 1920's style lobby, little has changed since the Inn first opened its doors 81 years ago, but every modern amenity you'd expect a 21st century hotel to offer, including high speed wireless internet. Enjoy world class cuisine in the ultra-fashionable, yet comfortable, Peacock Dining Room. Live jazz is frequent in the leisurely Cowboy Bar. Prescott's world-famous Courthouse square is a mere block away with endless boutiques and antique stores. ... more   less
