The staff was amazing - I use a wheelchair, and when I saw I had a shower room, they upgraded me to a suite with a tub for no extra charge (I know, wheelers normally like showers, but I had requested tub on my booking) - everyone remembered my name and details from our previous conversations - made me feel...

Super clean, modern, entertaining. Just great! Think no more. Come here. New age, 2017 hotel. Such refreshment! The room is big, carpet new and clean, nice pool, music and drinks on roof top, complementary wine evening hour daily etc. I love details such that hand soap is on dispenser and not the old fashioned wasteful little soaps.. things like that....

Like finding a diamond in the rough... where to start. Very accommodating and pleasant staff. Complimentary everything....spa robe, pool, q-tips, KitKats, wine on the rooftop bar and lounge with beautiful lights and generous seating. Room was modern and painted dark for sleeping. I thought the traffic and pool activity would keep me awake... not one bit. King bed and pillows...

What a great find. Rooftop bar with music. Amazing food choices. It's a walk into the fifties cool sleek urban. Staff was so friendly. Ask for jerky John. Pool area has a heated area for late night swims. Will visit again.

Overall, they did a pretty good job of providing a nicely decorated upbeat, kinda funky jazzy kind of atmosphere. I can see how it could be a problem checking in during the busier periods with only a small front lobby and two person registration desk. Fortunately, I was there middle of the week, and found parking in their adjoining lot...

Thank you so much for your review! I love when guests are constructive in their reviews, as it offers an opportunity for us to improve and make things better, which is one of the reasons I believe we're the #1 rated "most popular" and "best value" hotel here in Phoenix, the 5th largest city in the US! Had an amazing time at the Clarendon Hotel this weekend! We got upgraded to a suite by the very gracious front desk staff, and were pleased with the bed quality and room cleanliness. The restaurant staff gave us fresh watermelon juice after a workout, and were always ready to assist. We had a small issue with our air conditioner and...

This "hotel" (if you can call it that) is a joke. It feels like it was a renovated apartment complex from the 1950's. The hallways are like an echo chamber. You can hear people talking all the way down the hall. The doors are paper thin. You hear EVERYTHING outside the room. You have to walk down to the front...

I really like what they're doing here. Rehabbing an old hotel into a fun new spot is admirable, and despite some of the issues that come with mid-century floor plans, they've been mostly successful. The attention to detail here is not quite A material, but again, I can look past it for a fresh vibe and awesome on-site restaurant, etc....

Thank you so much for your review, I appreciate it! Now that we're recovered from that pesky recession, we've been putting more money into the hotel. We're family and friends owned and operated, so we're not as deep-pocketed as those big franchises out there. With that said, we're replacing carpet, repainting rooms, putting new Tuft & Needle mattresses in, and...

The Clarendon Hotel & Spa is a great value. It may be overlooked because it is a few blocks off the main drag of Central Ave in Phoenix. But that has advantages, as well, like free, on-street parking. It is an older property, more of a boutique hotel. It is clean and well-appointed. The suites are spacious. The on-site restaurant...
