We booked Plantas y Blacos via booking.com who describe the place as friendly and close to the centre. Nowhere on booking.com does it describe the place as a 'party hostel'. We arrived to find the outside of the building plastered in the sign 'p&b's party...More
I enjoyed my stay in P&B. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet at night and we slept great! The beds were warm (it was pretty cold outside the night we were there).

There are tour agencies spread all over the city of Banos. We were able to walk right next door to a tour agency and book a biking trip from the Casa del Arbol all the way through La Ruta de Las Cascadas which brought us to Pailon del Diablo. Tours are very easy to find and book
