In a cool climate with proximity to Ecuador's beautiful seven active volcano's area, We check-in this country style Hacienda & had dinner, going back to our rooms we were pleasantly surprised that the fireplace was lit & hot water bottles were inserted the into bed-covers.

Loved this place. The rooms were enormous and had a fireplace. A lovely additional touch were hot water bottles in your bed. Our group ate dinner and breakfast there. I wasn't feeling well so I didn't eat but they enjoyed it. I'm very sorry I didn't get to enjoy the grounds because my friends say they were lovely.

We stayed here one night and had a great evening. It was very cold so being able to snuggle up in front of the fireplace was a treat. They have lovely grounds and spacious rooms. Our fire was lit and there was enough wood provided for the entire evening. The fireplace was also lit during dinner for a lovely evening.... More

Stayed a night here with a Gate1 tour. Beautiful gardens, wonderful views and friendly staff greeted us when we arrived. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Sitting in the corner was a fireplace which a gentleman came and lit. Living in Florida this was for us a great treat! We were also given hot water bottles to warm our... More

Lovely gardens and great views. A lot of old saddles and other artefacts gave the place a good atmosphere. Great dog (in more ways than one!) who was very friendly, and called Umo. Room was comfortable and clean and with a wood burning stove. Food/breakfast were average. Really liked this place but clearly the business hit by the impositions as... More

This was a highlight of our tour as we watched Tungurahua erupting the night we were there (an infrequent "Orange" stage event). Enormous loud booms, lava flowing down the sides, a window-shaking eruption at 2:30 a.m. Wow! Fortunately no ash blowing our way. The rooms were warmed by a fireplace and lovely hot water bottles. Very comfortable and clean. Lovely... More

A very eclectic and interesting experience. The grounds are lovely, a volcano right in your back yard (not active for our one night stay), great food and great people. The wood burning fire place (new for me, I've never had a fireplace without an on/off switch) was a rustic touch. Rooms are spacious, clean, nice hot shower... it's amazing what... More

We had a great big room with a log fire. Management are smart enough put hot water bottles in your bed as it gets cold at night. We were kept awake all night as Mount Tungurahua was erupting and making a lot of noise. A highlight for me and I got up twice in the middle of the night to... More

Enjoyed this hotel very much, there were antiques and eclectic arrays of furniture everywhere. Beautifully laid out and very nice staff. Our room was very large and included a spa tub and fireplace. The rooms and all the hotel were very clean. We also enjoyed dinner as part of our stay and it was very good. Recommend!

Lucky enough to stay here for a night whilst Tungurahua erupting - fab view of volcano from the back garden! Rooms are lovely with an open fire that is lit at night (plus hot water bottle in bed) - spacious & comfortable. Food was fine altho service a bit slow. They close up the lounge very early - we were... More
