We had booked this hotel for two nights and rather than loose money stayed before moving across the road to a wonderful hotel.Hotel Antartida is filthy- dirt curtains sticky floor dirty walls and generally completely unkept.Staff were completely disinterested. It was unsafe and we couldn't wait to leave.Hotel Tierra Del Feuego is across the road a few dollars more but... More

It's hard to get somewhere reasonably priced in Ushuaia so this would do. There isn't a lift but the guy at reception insisted on carrying our bags up for us. The biggest problem was that the Internet in the room dropped out every 30 seconds or so, so totally useless. If you want to use the Internet you have to... More

The hotel is very humble but clean. It is very well located. Breakfast is the same everyday and very limited. For the price you pay you can expect much better than that. They have a very good " Cambio " in the back of the hotel lobby which people from all the other hotels go exchange money. They don t... More

This is the worst hotel I´ve ever been! It´s close to the pier, but filthy dirty, with a disgusting breakfast, serving day old bread and pastries. The entrance is dirty, the hallway is nasty and there are no elevators. It´s obvious that they had been taken away during some renovation, and the way up is through an emergency stairway. The... Because Ushuaia is a long way from any where prices are higher. therefore in the circumstances the price charged by this hotel is reasonable. The rooms are simple and adequate. They are clean. Breakfast is limited in range but enough. You can change money at a very good rate, and leave bags in the lobby all day if need be,... More

There is something about Ushuaia and prices. Everything is so expensive, except the supermarket, which costs more or less the same as in Buenos Aires. This leads me to believe that the tourism industry there is taking advantage of the international (i.e. USA and European) tourists. Excursions are expensive, restaurants are too, and hotels are no exception. We usually stay... More

The location is great and walking distance to everywhere. The rooms (and I only saw two were very sad), the walls were filthy, linen not spotless, bathrooms dirty and rubish left in rooms. Also website offered Mountain or Ocean view - but if you notice all the images on the web page have the curtains shut as there views are... More

This is a nice hotel with young and helpful staff, the rooms are great with a huge bathroom and though the room was somewhat small it was great at the price we paid. The owner is a Chinese guy settled in Ushuaia and very helpful too. They also give a good rate for your foreign currency making the rates even... More

The staff is good and the hotel is well spotted. But it is not in good condition and rooms looked dirty and old. Walls were very dirty and beds were not comfortable. For the price asked are better options in the nearby.

Be careful if choosing to stay at this place. It is a 3 storey walk up - no elevators, so not appropriate for people with lots of luggage, heart problems or small children. Booked a room with a double bed & a bath. Unfortunately I got a room with twin beds but wasn't going to complain as the young man... More
