Staff were friendly, beds not the most comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean. Short walk to the main street and a nice wine store next door. We needed to rinse out some clothes and hung them on the shower curtain rod - this was a mistake as it was very flimsy and then fell repeatedly through the rest of our...

The hotel is located at walkable distance from the central street of El Calafate, The room I had at the hotel on the ground floor was of very well size, also for the bathroom. Had some decent views over Lago Argentino towards the mountains (the rooms on the first floor do have better views ;-) ). Staff very friendly and...

Got a last minute room here after we had a horrible experience at the nearby Marcopolo Inn. Great service, decent breakfast, comfy room and reasonable price. The internet didn't always work perfectly but other than that had few complaints. Wonderful back patio to sip Malbec!

I stayed for one night. Room was run down with scratches on the wall and furniture that looked beat down - bed was okay though. WiFi connectivity was very bad. You had to go to the lobby to get a good connection. Staff was nice and helpful. But the place is more expensive than it should be - but I...

We booked here last minute because it was cheap for a double room relative to everything else in El Calafate. The carpets are stained and questionable but the sheets and bathrooms are clean. Quiet and not too far from the main city centre. Breakfast was the most varied we have had so far on our trip in Argentina. The staff...

We were part of a tour group and got assigned to this hotel. Everything about this hotel screams cheap - the rooms seem old, the furniture seems old, the couch upstairs was in poor condition, and even the keyboard for their public computer was broken. In one of our rooms the shower curtain had this rust stained color on it....

This hotel has amazing views, and although not a luxury property it is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Staff are pleasant and we were lucky that Josefina on the front desk spoke perfect English. She was exceptionally helpful and made our stay at Picos Del Sur even more enjoyable. Any problems that we had were sorted immediately and...

We stayed here twice, each time for one night whilst travelling with a group. It is a comfortable, quiet hotel about 8 mins walk to town centre, uphill on a gravel road on return! Close to a couple of good restaurants. Reception staff helpful. The rooms were a good size, comfortable bed but there is no lift to the first...

We stayed here on a recent trip to El Calafate - we left the booking quite late and found that we had slim pickings. That said, most of the places in town seem to be of average price/quality. Very basic, motel style rooms. Thin walls, uncomfortable beds. Frosty, unhelpful reception. Location is fine. It is a short walk into town,...

This was a real find for us. It is close to the best restaurants in town, is one of the very few hotels with a fine view, has comfortable rooms and really helpful staff. We returned there three times as we enjoyed the natural wonders of the area. I even gave up a mediocre, twice-as-expensive previously booked hotel to stay...
