We really enjoyed our stay(s) at this hotel (we had three nights initially, then another one on our return from Chile before catching flight back to Buenos Aires). It's well placed on the edge of the town centre, all shops and restaurants easily accessible. Very quiet and peaceful in our first room facing the gardens, though on the second visit... More

I stayed for one night. The hotel is very cozy and right on the main street, so you are walking distance from restaurants and shops. The staff is helpful and can help you organize the glacier tours. Would go back for sure.

We spent one night there, arrived late and went early so I could not see much of the surroundings or the lake. Only noticed that it is on the main road through El Calafate. The rooms could be refurbished and also the entrance & eating area, but the rooms are spacious and useful (which bed am I using today? ;-)).... More

I liked the location of this hotel and it had a very nice view of the lake from their lobby. It's located towards the end of the main street, but still a quick walk to stores, restaurants, etc. Others have commented about the noise, but I got the sense that the noisy cars are noisy throughout that street and not... We stayed here for three nights while visiting the different glacier sites. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. Our room and bathroom were both pretty spacious. The lobby area of the hotel is very comfortable and quite busy in the morning with pickups for all the different excursions. The... More

The hotel is on the busy main road Av. del Libertador, towards the edge of town. Some of our travelling companions chose an apparently much posher place much further out. But I hadn't fancied that as it was a long walk into town. The Sierra Nevada is convenient, we found the staff helpful and friendly. The place looks a little... More

The front staff was lukewarm in attitude; walls between rooms were very thin; there was no control of temperature in the room, nor extra blanket (night was very cold); bathroom sink water splashed out to make your front all wet (poor design); it is located at the end of main street (far from the center). Only consolation was its nice... More

I thought this was a lovely hotel to stay in on our last stop before Torres del Paine! Front desk was very helpful. There a lots of cozy, welcoming public spaces, including a little reading area and a garden with nice chairs outside. Our room faced Lago Argentina, which made for a really pretty view. Our room was also on... More

We stayed in the Sierra Navada for 3 nights. It was quite adequate. The rooms are a decent size and all have views of the gardens. Nice hotel on the main road a short walk outside the main down town area with nice gardens surrounding the hotel. Nice standard hotel rooms with friendly and helpful staff. Nice place for a short stay if you don't mind being outside the downtown centre.
