A bit of a neglected place
The room did not have a small refrigerator for drinks or fruits that are purchased for excursions.
They did not accept credit cards to buy some souvenirs
Basic breakfast
When we arrived there was no reservation so an operator made it

The Hotel is well located, 3 blocks from the center. To get to the center you have to go down several stairs, I didn't count them but maybe about 30. You are approximately 5 blocks from the Super la Anónima and all the shops, car rentals, banks, bars, etc. It is simple, clean and the staff is friendly. It is heated, has a hair dryer, they offer you food for excursions and you can have dinner at the hotel.

The hotel is very basic, like sleeping and ready. Breakfast was missing more things, the service of its employees is not good. The room lacks soap, and amenities. They dare you to make even the smallest noise. The good that looks close to the center.

The hotel is close to the main street of El Calafate. You have to go down some stairs, but it's not tiring, just take it easy. As the hotel is not on the main street, it is very quiet and without crowds. Very well maintained and clean. For lovers of first-class WIFI, even in the rooms the internet speed is excellent. The breakfast lacks something salty, salt bread or something similar, but this is common in Argentina, breakfast with food with a sweet flavor. The hotel is highly recommended, I didn't find anything that was disreputable.

Terrible place. The room is spacious but lacks essential elements for a comfortable stay. No armchair, minibar, pillows, any amenities. The pillows are super flat. We asked for extra ones and they denied them. The breakfast was terrible because it was basic and poor (no butter, no fruit or eggs). The restaurant, although with little variety, has good quality of food, but they charge extra for tips and cutlery. The girl at the reception was extremely rude, she serves you with a smile and says NO to everything. Some children asked him to turn on the TV in the lobby after dinner and he denied them!!!! To the kids!!!. They charge like a 4 star and don't reach one. To pass by.

Good service, very friendly. Well located. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Correct but basic breakfast. A separate point for the "Pampa" restaurant that operates in the hotel: excellent. I would return and recommend it for stays in El Calafate.

From the moment I put a step inside Marco Polo Suites I knew that I had made a terrible mistake choosing this place.
This hotel is located in a no man’s land almost 15 minutes walking from the heart of EL CALAFATE just along what was once the runway of the city’s first airport. The vicinity is made of errant dogs, unfinished low rise houses and fields not to say dumps.
To check-in, I stood some 15 minutes at the reception desk as the only woman in charge was trying to sell a tour to a guest, was then taking care of the laundry bags of another, then was selling beer to a third one before, eventually welcoming us warmly. Needless to say that after a 22 hour plane trip I used all my self-control to remain calm during this long wait.
I was also informed that payment had to be made ONLY by cash.
When walking to our room we could see empty bottles of beer here and there left by back-packers, the almost exclusive clientele of this place. But the worst was to come when I discovered a used condom under my bed !
There was only one small bath towel per guest in the bathroom.
The room’s were so poorly insulated –actually it was only a very thin plywood board- that you could hear EVERYTHING from the guests around just like if you were sharing their intimacy and reciprocally !
When I complained to the manager about what was left under our bed she was sorry, apologized and immediately offered an upgrade to stay in a larger room.
Needless to say that I declined and left as fast as possible to Hotel UPSALA, a clean, simple, quiet, family managed property right in the city center where I had already staid 5 years ago. I regret not to have booked this place first.

The worst hotel in Argentina. Positioned in internet as 3-star hotel and charging 80$/night comprising taxes, this is a hostel for backpackers. So called continental breakfast is just a cofee or tea and nothing else, location is horrible, outside the town in desert with permanent strong winds. If you don't want to be dissapointed with your trip, don't stay in this rubbish place!

My experience was really bad. First we got to the hotel and we had the reservation charged before we got there. Ok, but as soon as we open the room door, o my god, we wanted to get running out off there. We slept one night, and by the morning, in WINTER how a hotel doesn't have hot water. That was unacceptable, we called the reception and they said, everyone is taking a shower so wait until it is hot again. How can anyone answer that, if you have a trip planed and you have to get ready. Then we went to have breakfast, and they didn't have enough tables, the plates where none, and also they were almost out of everything, and breakfast wasn't over. So if you want to stay here, RUN and find another hotel. They charge me for 3 nights, I only stayed 1, because I ran to find another hotel in the city. Today I am staying on a really nice place. They should return me the money for the other 2 nights.
