This hotel has a great location and great facilities. I had a very nice and large room facing the street. The room was sound proof. The breakfast was very good. The adjoining restaurant is superb and I had the best steak I've ever had. The upstairs pool is very nice with a view of the city. One of the major...

My wife and I came to Bariloche for a week skiing as part of our honeymoon between 24 July and 1st August 2007, which is the peak week of the ski season (see separate "Bariloche Uncut" review posted on the Bariloche Forum). In summary, the Edelweiss is a solid 3 star hotel, well located for downtown Bariloche (where restaurants and...

It's near great restaurants and shopping, but find it a little bit expensive when compared what you get. The breakfast were great, but the rooms and lobby needs to be updated. The best was the location. We did not need to get a taxi, except to go to the skiing places. Went 2 years later and booked at La Cascada...

The hotel room has seen better days Staff was friendly and helpful. Carpet was fraying and shabby. It was clean, but outdated. Felt somewhat like an Eastern block country room. They tried! Lobby was ok. Saw a large group of Americans with a touring agency. That's how they would make their money. I would not stay there again if I...

We spent the first night in Bariloche in a small lodge right by the road. Way too loud. We reserved a room at the Edelweiss online the next morning. Probably paid too much but it was worth it. We explained to the front desk that we were fleeing the road noise and they changed our room from a 1st floor...

Based on the number of stars of this hotel, I had expected much more. It felt rather outdated and not as fresh as could be expected. Or as the images on the web site led on. The food was not among the best I have tried in Argentina, but the service good. The location in central Bariloche is obviously great,...

Good location in town but as previous reviewer noted it gets noisy at night. We stayed there at the end of the season and it was still noisy so what it must be like in peak season is anyone's guess, I suppose it depends on if you are a light or heavy sleeper. The hotel has a nice indoor pool...

Very small room with outdated furniture. Our room faced the street and it was very noisy all night long. In addition, it was their sumer school break and young "college" kids were screaming, singing and being noisy all night long (outside our windown on the street). Lovely town. Poor service in their upscale restaurant. Breakfast was very nice and complete.
