This is a simple hostel which is quite balanced wrt price / quality. Wifi and breakfast nice. Room clean but small. Lots of character. Shared bathroom not very nice. Kitchen available. We could park our car in front of the hostal for 15 peso. For one night and for backpacking everything you need. For couples not very romantic.

Stayed 2 nights in a private room with private bath. Its pretty good. Homely place with nice owners. Location works. Wifi good. Good hot water. Breakfast very basic, but you get a good coffee. Clean. Overall, recommend.

We stayed 1 night in a 4-bed dorm. The room was pretty cramped and not that clean. In addition it was freezing at night! The shared bathroom was outside and also freezing. The breakfast was actually quite decent. Another positive was that the wifi worked in the room and was of reasonable quality.

We stayed here for two nights and were very impressed. The place is spotless and the bed was comfy. The courtyard is a great place to hang out and the manager/owner was so helpful and lovely. They clearly take pride in what they do and it shows. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here 4 years ago for a few days and the staff remembered us - wow!! We had the same spacious room with en-suite beyond the courtyard. Cooking facilities available. Evenings, very social, sitting in the courtyard with a glass or two of alcohol with other backpackers and the guys who run the place and sometimes their partners. They...

Thank you so much to Christian and his friends at Hostal La Posta for looking after me so well. After an exhausting 36 hour journey this place was exactly what I needed. Comfortable bed, hot shower, good breakfast and above all super helpful hosts. They were genuinely kind and warm and made me feel like I was at home with...

Ariel and Christian, hosts and owners of La Posta made me and my girlfriends visit to Salta incredible! Beyond the fact that the small hotel/hostal beautiful, clean, stylish -- it is the small details that the owners put into your stay. They helped us with our bags when we entered, let us check in a bit early for our convenience...

We loved our stay at this small hostel in Salta. The two brothers who run it are so very welcoming and helpful. Despite our appalling Spanish, they managed to help us with directions to the bus terminal, book accommodation in Purmamarca at a very busy time and recommend a nice local restaurant. We came back for an extra night, as...

We stayed in a 4-bed dorm at La Posta (the only dorm), and although the beds and pillows were comfortable, the room was quite cramped. And if all beds are filled, it's impossible to do anything without elbowing somebody in the face or shuffling around each other when packing. The shared bathroom was also quite small and was a "wet...

My husband and I stayed at La Posta for a week in late October/early November. We hadn't planned to, but kept extending our stay. We had a double room (with bathroom) next to the lovely, sunny courtyard and had breakfast there most days. The owner and his brother are really friendly and accommodating - putting up with our pigeon spanish...

“The room at the front is big and airy but noisier. The rooms at the back are quieter but smaller so can feel a bit warm. Depends what is important to you.”

“We travelled off-season and had a quiet experience. The quietest rooms are off the courtyard towards the back of the property. There are also dorms and doubles at the front - I imagine these may be noisier as they are nearer to the road and to the computer/breakfast area.”

“The first night we had room 8 all the way in the back. Very nice and quiet. The other nights we were in room 2 which is right by the reception and gets some noise from reception and from the common area. Both are double with private bath.”
