There are not many good things to say about this place. There is a supermarket a few blocks away. They give you a photocopied map of the town. Standard Argentinian breakfast, coffee, bread and dulce de leche. Badly equipped kitchen with broken pans, utensils, hob controls missing. Bottom half of the door to the outside terrace is missing so there...

We just stayed here 1 night in a 4-bed dorm. It was the only place on our travels where we had to pay a deposit for the sheets. The room was quite dirty as was the ensuite bathroom. The wifi additionally didn't work in the room so we had to go out into the cold courtyard to use it. The...

The hostel is very clean and comfortable, and has very helpful and uncomplicated (spanish and english speaking) staff. They offer several excellent trips to the surrounding sights (for example Salinas Grande, Quebrada de Cafayate, Quebrada de Humahuaca), the tours are very priceworthy.

It's fine and fun I guess if you're up for a party but the place has a kind of "falling apart feeling" which is covered up with cool paintings. The pool is half full and th bar was empty.. But the food we had was cheap and delicious - 40 pesos for a full plate of meat salad v tasty!...

Very disappointed! It is not like the pictures at all. It is a long way away from the centre of the town (a good 20 minute walk). Rooms are small and basic. Bathrooms were disgusting! Showers are either freezing or boiling hot. Toilets blocked and wet floor everywhere as the shower is in the same room as the toilet. Stayed...

My girlfriend and I spent (fortunately) only one night in this hostel. We arrived and charged 150 pesos per bed in a 6-bed dormitory when the price is 130 pesos (even in the board at the entrance was written that). The girl justified the fact saying that these two beds are the only togheter in the same room. Otherwise for...

Backpackers House is a disappointing hostel. We arrived in one of Salta's high season (July) and were forced to stay here as Salta had nearly sold out of rooms. Staff are not particularly friendly, the wifi works sporadically and breakfast consists of stale baguettes toasted with jam or dolce leche. We stayed in two different dorm rooms - the beds...

This hostel had a nice chilled atmosphere and held events, such as a BBQ we attended, that add to the normal experience of just 'lodging'. One of the staff, a young guy, was very helpful with maps etc, but everyone else seemed pretty dismissive. I didn't like that we had to lay our own sheets and then take them off...

When I had arrived Lucas greeted me with a smile, and immediately found me a room. The place of a family atmosphere from the first moment. The rooms are simple but spacious and clean, also a personal locker in the room. The team instead of helped me a lot with any questions I had about buses, supermarket etc .. You...

If you're backpacking around Salta this is a place you do not want to miss. Nice, familiar and cheap! I have had a really great time over there and since then it became a place I will love to visit again.

“If you want to sleep during the night in a decent room, definitely I dont recommend this hostel, or at least room 104. Si quieres dormir por la noche en una habitación decente, definitivamente no recomiendo este hostel, o al menos la habitación 104”

“The private rooms on the top floor are larger and more comfortable, but also hotter. I would recommend them as long as it the weather isn't hot. They have fans, but no AC.”
