We have just returned from Argentina after spending 4 delightful nights at Casa Hernandez during our week in the Andean Northwest. San Lorenzo was the perfect base for our travels driving both north and south through stunning geography. Local dining options were excellent. Casa Hernandez is a total delight. The restored home is beautiful with spacious rooms, tasteful handcrafted furnishings,...

We stayed here as we wanted to experience the 'true' Argentina and we were not disappointed. Alex and Rijka were brilliant hosts and really do make your stay memorable. We stayed in the Gobbles Inn which is self-contained. Very quaint and authentic. The bus route into Salta city is only 200m away, so not far to catch the bus. You...

I spent a weekend in Casa Hernandez, and it was the most relaxing time I had during this summer. Located a couple miles away from downtown Salta, it has an extremely easy access on public transportation. The place in itself is enchanting, you find a wonderful atmosphere as soon as you step into. The owners are incredibly charming, and welcoming....

Everything was perfect. We stayed in Deluxe room (we are 4 member's family) where (no doubts) the bathroom is incredible and the beds very comfortable. There is a door/window which is connected to the beautiful and huge garden in the back, with all kind of trees, plants and birds. The swiming pool is very nice and it is under the...

This is such an amazing place, definitely the best bed&breakfast I've ever stayed in! It is located in a lovely little town very close to Salta, San Lorenzo, reachable easily with public transportation, 15 minutes with a car. The hosts are extremely nice, chatty, interesting people, who apparently admire having people over. The house itself is beautiful, we got great...

Alex and Rijke were the perfect hosts and gave us lots of recommendations which all proved to be fantastic! We stayed in the deluxe room with two extra...

My boyfriend and I just finished a stay at Casa Hernandez in SAN Lorenzo and we could not have picked a more charming place. Rijkje was the best- had tea waiting for us and made it easy for us to find our way into Salta. She helped us map out our plan, arranged great activities for us and was such...

Casa Hernandez in San Larenzo, near Salta is a great place to stay! The rooms are clean, spacious and beds are very comfortable. A special note for the Globies Inn!! Cosy, little house in the garden where you have everything yourself: kitchen, separate bathroom and bedroom. There's a nice swimming pool and a great, big Asado in the garden! In...

Our third visit to Salta and, I think our 4th or 5th stay at La Casa Hernandez. Still as great as ever and without a doubt, the best B&B we have stayed at in over a year of travelling in South America. Alex and Reijke are consummate hosts and really look after their guests. Nothing is too much trouble. It...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Casa Hernández is located in San Lorenzo, a perfect little village for rest and relaxation, with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. It is 10km from Salta. Alex and Rijkje, the Dutch owners of Casa Hernández, were perfect hosts. They have travelled throughout South America and were able to give us lots...
