Located high on the hill Patio Alto provides a great view from the dining room and the 2nd story rooms. We stayed with our 2 children downstairs and a very large and comfortable room, we had a separate shower and a toilet and access to filtered water jug which was filled up every day. Outside of the room we had...

Due to an unfortunate mudslide in the Jujuy region, we couldn't reach Patio Alto. However, after a phone call, the hotel staff was so kind to offer us a full refund for our two-day reservation. We hope to visit this hotel in the future!

We were so lucky to find that place on a long weekend in October 2016. What a lovely place: The romms are big and we had a nice view to the valley. Excellent breakfast, but the most important thing is Pat the hostess.A lovely person helping and assist with everything. Locatio is also good: 10 min. walk from center square. We...

What a lovely hotel in Tilcara and Pat was a delightful hostess, too! Located a SHORT 10-minute walk to the central square downhill... certainly not 30 minutes. Yes, dogs bark, but they do that all over Argentina... nice view from the public area which is so homey. The free parking is locked at night, but we had a key if...

Having been locked out of El Refugio del Pintor just down the road at 11pm, I was overjoyed to find not only that Patio Alto was still open, but the warmest of welcomes from the charming Manager, Pat, who having made repeated efforts to phone my hotel in vain, thankfully was able to give me a large, spotlessly clean room...

Hotel is located above the small town of Tilcara and is a bit tricky and annoying to get to. I was lured in to stay at hotel because it appeared to have view of town but this was not the case. The hotel faces the hills of the town, but you really cant see anything from the hotel courtyard and...

I am so sorry to know you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel in Tilcara and did not find the scenery worth enough. However, I am very happy to know you highly enjoyed Purmamarca which is one of the beauties of our Quebrada de Humahuaca. Thank you for your comments and your time! Patricia F. de Aguirre Manager

Actually we lived here in December 2013 but forgot to write a review. We we're traveling with our 15 month son, one in the belly and my fiances aunt to Tilcara. The town is amazing and Patio Alto is a pearl here. It felt really homey and was really nicely designed. A lot of details without being to much and...

This is a goregous hotel with incredible views. You are at the top of the hill (a very walkable hill, don't worry about putzing around town from here it is easy) and so the rooms have incredible views. The hotel manager speaks perfect english and gave us recommendations for two of the best meals we had on our trip. The...

The hotel is warm, welcoming and comfortable. The rooms are large and well appointed. It is the little touches that make it so good - the ability to make a drink when you want, use the fridge, home made muesli and jams at breakfast, cake put out for afternoon tea, fresh fruit and water in the rooms. But above all...
