This review is long over due and I don't know if I can add much more than what the other reviewers already have. We stayed at the Secret Garden for 2 nights while visiting Iguazu Falls. The place couldn't have been more perfect. John and his staff did everything possible to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. The jungle...

I loved this place! My stay at this B & B was one of the main highlights of my trip to Iguazu Falls. The garden in the back yard between the main house and the B & B rooms was a spectacular delight, a jungle in full bloom, adding privacy as well as beauty. I was impressed by the exceptionally...

Staying at Secret Garden Iguazu was a real pleasure. Everything was simply perfect, rooms are spacious and bright, beds are really comfortable and the breakfast is delicious, featuring a selection of homemade jams, freshly squeezed juices and pawpaws from John's garden. However, John is what makes the place truly memorable. He welcomes guests with kindness and care, helping all guests...

The Secret Garden is an ideal base from which to both visit the falls and get a taste of local color. Hidden behind a modest home and not visible from the street, the rooms are attractive, spacious, and comfortable, with individual temperature controls. Come here to see the local community and to relax and converse with John, the inn’s owner,...

My husband and I booked The Secret Garden having read the fantastic reviews it got on this site. We were not disappointed! We had been in Buenos Aries for a few days and really wanted to get out of the city bustle and stay somewhere more peaceful and that is exactly what we got in the wonderful Secret Garden. We...

This place was absolutely magnificent! My girlfriend and I were so sad to leave. Looking back on our trip through Argentina, our stay here is what we miss the most. John is an absolutely wonderful person and host. He is very friendly and very easy to talk to. When we got there, he picked us up from the bus station...

John and the ladies at Secret Garden helped to make my stay in Iguazu very pleasant. The evening cocktails, snacks and breakfasts were all first class. John is very friendly and easy to get along with. He let me use his phone to make a call back to Australia! The room was spotless and the garden is so pretty. I...

John is a delight, hanging out with his guests and giving tips about seeing the falls or other sights. Our room was fresh and clean, sunny and bright, not fancy per se but just right. The highlight of everyone's stay there is happy hour - unlimited drinks (the Braziian nat'l drink, can't remember the name....) that are quite strong and got...

I read about John's B&B on this site, and I am so glad that we stayed there. We enjoyed the drinks and meeting the other travelers each evening. And, Roxie is a character. Besides great restaurant recommendations and getting us reservations, we also booked a driver, which was nice. Visiting Iguazu Falls was amazing, and staying at the Secret Garden...

As others have already said, I can't say enough good things about Secret Garden Iguazu. We stayed there over a long weekend in the end of June. John Fernandes, our host, was a wonderful, fascinating, funny, generous, and helpful person, and his dog, Roxy, is cute and funny (and she really rules the roost)! We flew in on a Friday...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An ideal place to jump-start your visit to the Iguazu Falls in Argentina. High on concept the Secret Garden is populated by tree ferns and other shade-loving plants salvaged from the slash and burn rural and logging activities decimating the surrounding rain-forest. Our location allows you to get a feel of living in a small South American frontier town and has easy access to urban amenities. ... more   less
