My wife and I travelled throughout Chile and Argentina in November 2015. We arrived in Mendoza by bus from Santiago (which I highly recommend). Upon our arrival at Hostal Confluencia, we knew we were in good hands. It turned out our cab driver would only accept Argentinian Pesos and we were unable to obtain any before we arrived in Argentina....

Spending a couple of nights in Mendoza, this Hostel was a very great choice! The staff being very friendly and helpful, the place is very well taken cared of. I totally recommend this place for people looking for a simple, cosy and not too expensive place.

We travelled throughout Argentina, up from the Cerro Fitz Roy, through Bariloche and now Mendoza. The family is very welcoming. They were very helpful in helping us find a tour to the bodegas, at the very last minute. The sons (Kevin and Ivan) as well as dad (Raoul) were very helpful and chatted with us about Mendoza life and Argentinian...

This hostel is very clean, the rooms are big and it's in a great location. It's run by a family. We stayed 4 nights. It was OK but not really recommendable. We felt that as guests we were less of a priority for the family (and particularly the mother) than the many friends and family who visited. Admittedly we stayed...

We travelled throughout Chile and Argentina as a couple in November 2015. We would like to thank this family for being so patient with our very basic spanish, helpful and welcoming. When we arrived, we had issues with acquiring money at bank machines which is quite commonplace as far as we understand. Upon arrival, one of the owners immediately offered...

It's located within the same block of the Mercado which is fun to visit. You can buy fresh vegetables, seafood and restaurants. We stayed there for two nights, the owner is very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast can be skipped though.

Great location in the middle of Mendoza city. They were really helpful and nice. Didn't speak a word of English so had to use Google translate at times when our Spanish couldn't cope to organise trips around the area. The private bathrooms are a walk down the hall from the rooms, not attached which makes it a little difficult but...

Hostel confluencia Great hostel and the price is very reasonable. We paid $43 per night for a big room with private bathroom and breakfast included. The bathroom is in the hallway but its private. Each room has its own bathroom that you can lock with your room key. We had room #11 which was good as it was also not...

We stayed two nights here, and we really liked it. Our bed was very comfortable, and we had a private bathroom. The kitchen was very small (only a two-burner hotplate and a microwave), but it was clean. The service was very good, even though none of the staff spoke English and my Spanish is embarrassingly bad. But they were happy...

Great location for exploring the city. Rooms are large and clean and at this price point would not expect much more. We had a room at the back and was pretty quiet road noise could be a problem with rooms at the front. Owners are as helpful as their language skills allow - if you speak no Spanish a phrase...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Confluencia Hostel & Suites is not the kind of place you expect to have parties or a night life but a very quiet & family place; especially designed for those who want to rest and recover energy to enjoy the new things, attractions, and all the adventure that Mendoza offers. All our rooms have air conditioning, safe box and private bathrooms, not inside but outside the room, just for the use of the guest of that room. That means that all our bathrooms are private, not sheared although they are outside of the room.We are located in downtown of Mendoza city, close by the "Mercado Central" and a few steps from the principal´s streets of the city, where most of the bars, restaurants and caffes are. ... more   less
