We stayed here for one night during our road trip. We didn't like the hotel upon entrance. The hotel is meant to be "vintage/historical" but that doesn't mean it has to have old dirty carpet and furniture. Everything is dated! They probably haven't changed anything since if first opened 60 years ago. I don't get allergies from dust often but...

I stayed here and was horribly disappointed. The staff did not speak English and were rude to me. For example, in the morning they bothered me while I was eating breakfast to make sure that I was actually a guest (not only was this insulting and felt invasive, but their breakfast wasn't that great, like I would even bother going...

Stayed here en route to climb Aconcagua. Room OK. Staff good and very helpful. A little weird that that A/C is controlled from the front desk but not a major issue. Great location, very central with loads of good restaurants close by.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights, and found it to be alright. My room faced the street, and even though I was on the sixth floor, it was incredibly loud due to traffic. The rooms are a bit dated, and there were some stains on the wall. The staff was nice overall, though only a few spoke English....

We stayed here for a week . The staff were friendly, the owner was welcoming. The room was comfortable. The Aircon was efficient. It had a large secure car park. It is a lovely old-fashioned hotel with character. The wifi was ok, it worked best in their computer room. Breakfasts were good. It is a place I recommend and I...

The hotel is rather dated. I adore the old-fashioned lifts though. Location was good, I felt safe, and didn't have any problems with cleanliness. Would probably upgrade next time I'm around, but it was fine. Staff was nice.

Stayed at this hotel before and after climbing Mount Aconcagua. Central location, quiet rooms, staff were exceptionally helpful. However that's where it ends, as others have said about its dated-ness I would agree entirely. Its dated-ness would be ok for a hostel but with the tag of Hotel they clearly need to spend some money on this hotel. It was...

But the hotel is old, dirty and smelly. There have clearly been people smoking in the rooms and there are even ashtrays. The carpets and soft furnishings are disgusting and are probably the same ones that were here when German refugees came here after the second world war. The lifts are a miracle that they are still working. Grand is...

The beds are uncomfortable, breakfast is poor quality, the lift is a death trap, the shower is inadequate, the AC noisy and is controlled from the front desk. Its only redeeming feature is that the staff are very friendly.

If you're looking for a place to just lay your head and shower, then this is your hotel. It's old, there's no charm, and is dirty. The rooms are barely large enough to turn around in. It smells and the elevators are old fashioned - you have to close an accordian type of door in order for it to work....
