I was spending just over 2 weeks in Argentina and staying at an Estancia was something I knew I had to do as part of my travels. I didn't want somewhere that had tourist buses stopping at it every day --I wanted something off the beaten track and somewhere that honoured the Estancia and Gaucho tradition. I found it at...

I had the most wonderful holiday at Estancia Los Potreros. I stayed longer than most guests - a week. I didn't get bored once - not with the riding, the food, the hosts, the other guests, the countryside. The ranch is beautifully appointed, Louisa takes the utmost care to match horses to riders and to match people in groups of...

My mother and I spent five days at Los Potreros and everything was truly spectacular. We cannot recommend this place enough. The food and wine was excellent, breakfast lunch and dinner- all either sourced from the farm or from local farms. The rooms are handsome and comfortable with a touch of luxury- we had wine delivered to our door on...

We had 4 amazing days at Los Potreros, we arrived to a warm welcome and loved every minute their after. The staff are welcoming, attentive, full of energy and friendly. The food is rustic, authentic Argentinian and delicious. But best of all is the riding. From early morning rides herding in the cattle with the wonderful gauchos and guides, to...

My daughter and I loved every minute of our 3 night stay at Los Potreros. We were wonderfully looked after by Kevin, Louisa and their lovely staff. They made sure that we made the most of our all too short time there, riding morning and evening, on Passo, Criollo or polo ponies, all wonderfully trained and so sure-footed. A Picnic...

The pleasure of riding masterfully trained but still spirited horses through amazing landscape can only be matched by the relaxation of a well made cocktail, well executed meal and cozy lodging. Add a dash of great company from the other guests and charming hosts and guides -- now, you've got Los Potreros. I've taken riding vacations around the globe; this...

This is a very special place to unwind, relax and experience the beauty, culture and hospitality of this region of Argentina. Our experience was beyond expectation. Our hosts, Kevin and Lou, welcome you into their home. The hospitality was wonderful. The staff could not have been more friendly and fun. The food and wine were fantastic, but the horses take...

We are not a horse riding family but never mind they got us on their amazing horses right away and took us out and about. Rounding up cattle on day 2, herding the foals down to the estancia for night time, and even on last day jumped over a stream ( although not sure I meant the horse to do...

Estancia Los Potreros is the perfect antidote to modern life. We had 5 days of total relaxation and adventure without worrying about anything outside of the estancia. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and typical of the area with stone walls and the beds are very comfy, which is needed after a day in the saddle. The food is delicious and...
