This is an exciting heritage property that has been lovingly restored over the past decade. We had a wonderful stay and could thoroughly enjoy the promenade and its associated restaurants, cafes and milk bars. The licuados served in the abovementioned milk bars were of a particulalrly high standard. We loved our spacious room with its glimpses of nearby Bristol Beach...

This hotel used to be the most iconic property in Mar del Plata. It remains so, but only from the outside. Inside it is a big disappointment. 1. Location: It is on the Bristol Beach in central Mar del Plata. It is the tackiest nosiest beach in town.If you go to Mar del Plata ("MDP") in summer, just run a...

This was a fabulous hotel in older days and now it was rescued on time. If you go around you will find places that still need to be taken care of but the general condition of the rooms, for instance, is very good. Clean, comfortable and with air condition, I couldn't fault anything. Room size was average and the kind...

This is a very old hotel that has recently been restored and reopened. They've done a great job at restoring it, maintaining almost all beautiful features of the building. This is not a conventional luxury hotel (it's not a Hilton-style hotel); the building is very special and has much more personality. The architecture is really beautiful, with massive corridors, big...

Needs to be cleaned, airconditioning does not work, staff very unaccommodating, beds are like concrete, pillows need to be thrown out (dirty and old)...even with pillow cases. Breakfast is only a bunch of bread items. No eggs, proteins, other hot food items.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful with recommendations, information on places to visit and making dinner reservations. This made our visit a success as we didn't speak Spanish. We had a guided tour of the hotel. There was only one other Spanish speaking person on the tour so half the tour was in...

This is a very nice hotel. Ample spaces, hallways, rooms; however, very confusing layout of floors and rooms. If you get a couple days you'll get used to, otherwise, good luck. Personnel is very friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Built in a by gone era, this hotel has a huge amount of unused space, which makes the hotel feel somewhat dated and stark. The staff however is friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the included breakfast more than satisfactory. The pool is lovely but the cost of a table with parasol is 300 pesos per day,...

We travelled to Mar del Plata with our cousins who reside in Buenos Aires. They selected this hotel for us to stay at. We stayed one overnight. It certainly has a grand presence. The room we had was a very nice size. It had all of the modern amenities; AC, nice shower/tub combo, great pillows and mattress. Well located close...

Very large and impersonal. Not my cup of tea.. Huge hotel, spacious and a somewhat tired hotel. I'm sure in the summer months the hotel is better run but as a winter visitor it was run with very few staff. On a plus side the staff were very friendly and helpful as an overseas visitor.
