I cannot review the hotel as I was not able to stay there. I had a confirmed reservation (confirmed online and confirmation emailed to me) and they cancelled it a few days later. The reservation was 8 months out. Apparently, a system issue that enabled me to make a reservation they said. Now the hotel is full. It didn't show full when I made my reservation, so I felt I was selected over someone else for a room. Very disappointed. Wish I had better advice for other travelers, but I would not just assume a confirmation of your reservation will be honored when booking is valid when you make it online. At least it was cancelled before I traveled there.

I wish we had read the Trip Advisor reviews before booking our stay here. The late night music and noise from the bars across the street is real. We were there for three nights and everyone in our group could not get a good night's sleep due to the thumping music. The rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. Good location.

Beautiful hotel located in a perfect area for walking to all of the restaurants and sites. This small boutique hotel is so tastefully decorated, staff are kind and helpful. The room was very large and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend and would definitely return. If you appreciate fine objets d’art, you will live this place!

I went to sleep dreaming I was in the noisiest disco ever and woke up realising that my dream was a reality My wife and I came here 4 years ago and loved it so much we asked our agency to book us here on a return trip The hotel is, as all the reviews suggest, a lovely characterful building. It is in the middle of palermo. Right in the middle The first night the street discos went on well past 4am. The room faced the street and we got little sleep The hotel offered to move us to a suite on the 3rd floor...very quiet I am writing this at 6.15 am and the parties are still going on. This is not a place for sleep Now it might be said we were unlucky because it was weekend or a public holiday or something, but check before you book. We came back once, we wouldn't again

My husband and I were very fortunate to stay at this lovely boutique hotel during our honeymoon in Argentina and Chile! The room was spacious and quiet, and we appreciated that there were double sinks. What truly sets this boutique hotel apart from other places are the phenomenal location that doesn't feel too touristy and the outstanding staff who makes this feel like your home away from home.

We spent 3 nights here and this hotel was one of our favourite during our journey through Chile and part of Argentina. It is a small intimate hotel in the lively Palermo barrio where bars and restaurants always full of life gave the place a special atmosphere . We stayed in the superior room “el Escritor ; Inspired to Borges , the room was absolutely lovely , big, full of character , very well appointed with typical furniture, nice furnishing and paintings , lots of books and an “ Argentinian “ atmosphere . Despite overlooking the busy street the room was very quiet thanks to the double glazings . The lounge of the hotel was amazing too : also here an entire wall furnished with a bookcase with plenty of books and different well appointed sitting areas where to sip a glass of wine and relax . We also liked the small shadowy garden just close to the lounge . The staff was very caring and helpful. Breakfast was nice with more sweet options than salty . For us Legato mitico has been the perfect place to stay in Buenos Aires and we definitely recommend it Anna and Francesco from Italy

This was our third visit to Buenos Aires and our introduction to the Palermo District which we found very attractive and lively. The hotel is a boutique gem, beautifully appointed and tastefully furnished in some style. Elegant. We had the Evita Room which was large and comfortable with a view over the small rear patio (and the largest cat you've ever seen). Lots of nearby restaurants and bars. Buffet breakfast was served in the lounge/library. The highlight however was the warm and hospitable welcome of the reception staff, Gustavo and , I think, Leandro who were helpful and outgoing and brought great character to this charming hotel. I should add that we owe great thanks to our guide, Aldana, who, after check-in, walked us round the immediate area to highlight shops/bars and restaurants. Most helpfully, she explained the difference between official and unofficial exchange rates which we had been completely unaware of. Apparently, high inflation rates continue to affect the economy and she counselled against using ATM's (poor official exchange and high admin costs). Very valuable advice. One other tip : there is an extensive underground metro system which we tried to use but couldn't figure out how to buy tickets. You need a pre-payment "tarjeta" sold at kiosks but not always available ! Strangely not available at subway stations. We used taxis at about 900 pesos, less than $ 3, to and from Recoleta District.

This hotel looks great, the rooms are beautifully appointed as is the library area. The bed was comfortable, and we had good water pressure in the shower. The service from the staff was not good. Information provided to us by the staff was incorrect with respect to the price of taxis to get around, and also the location of where to buy certain goods. Their English is not up to scratch. Breakfast was a vast disappointment with a buffet with practically nothing on it, a few slices of cheese, cold meat, tomato, some bread, croissants and cereal, and the coffee was horrible. We had breakfast included for the second morning, however the restaurant opened too late for us to be able to get anything and there was no option for room service. Our room faced the street, and we were kept awake most of the night for both nights of our stay by the loud noise from bars and nightclubs adjacent to the hotel. More a bed-and-breakfast than a hotel and one that we will definitely not stay out again

This is a charming small hotel on a great location. Lots of good restaurants and shops nearby, friendly and helpful staff, great rooms and a beautiful little courtyard with a great resident cat. The library where breakfast was served is also beautiful.

The location is great - right in the heart of Palermo. Though it is on a busy street with a lot of noise at nights, the rooms were completely quiet! The wifi worked very well. The facilities are all clean and the design is awesome - the hotel is reviewed in various journals about the travel. The reception also booked for us an excellent tango show they recommended and it was also great! The cat of the hotel is just an amazing creature, but it is well educated and do not bother the guests! The booking of a transfer from the airport to the hotel could not be booked in advance, but we had to send a request only 2 days before the arrival which was somewhat an inconvenience for us as we were travelling before arrival and we had to remember to do that. The transfer was not as a private we expected and provided in other hotels, but a regular taxi which is still fine. Some flexibility by the hotel to arrange the transfer in advance would be better. The breakfast is rather poor and needs some improvement. At the check-out there was limited staff and we had to find our transfer and talk to the driver on our own despite we expected the hotel to arrange this for us and just show us the car, but the person at the check-out was busy checking-in other guests and just disappeared.
