A group of friends have stayed here four times now, when using Buenos Aires as a stopover point for an onward return journey to the south of Santa Cruz Province. I reviewed last year but thought an update would be pertinent. The hotel has around 55 rooms and once again provided clean, spacious accommodation, good showers and great breakfast options. The staff were efficient, though some of the desk staff could perhaps smile a little ? ! This time round on our first stay we were allocated a room (202) facing the road. We found this very noisy and did not get good sleep during our two night stay. On our return leg we were in a more familiar room (806) location facing the back of residential accommodations. Not exactly picturesque but far quieter. So, whilst the location and hotel are good and only a 10 minute walk to Recoleta Cemetery, National Art Gallery, restaurants, cafes, etc unless you are a city person and used to the noise, try and make sure you get a room away from the road!…
We stayed here for 2 nights prior to an Antarctica cruise. It is an easy walk from the hotel to restaurants, a large shopping mall, and the picturesque cemetery. It is also a short drive from the cruise port. We had a room with 2 windows that opened into a courtyard with just views of other rooms. The room itself was large with a comfortable bed and a mini fridge. The breakfast buffet was good, with both hot and cold options. The only cons were the small bathroom with a very small corner shower and a lack of any English TV channels.
I was part of a tour group that stayed at the property for a total of 5 days. The people at the front desk were professional and very attentive. The rooms were large, well laid out and very clean. the bathroom was of adequate size with large towels. The bed and pillows were very good.
My wife and I did a 5 days pre-cruise stay in Buenos Aires. Arc Recoletta was recommended to us and did not disappoint! Reasonable rates but a top notch boutique hotel experience. Our room was large and very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very nice and an easy start to our days. The location was easy walking to many sights and restaurants, even a nice mall.
Rooms are a nice size and very clean! Staff exceptional in particular Juan who was very helpful. Our Spanish is limited and was able to support us in English. Area is safe with plenty of green space. Worth doing an on and off bus tour. Plenty of restaurants near hotel.
I have stayed here before, the location is fantastic. Friendly staff, smooth check-in. Clean room, nice breakfast. The door from my rom to the balcony could not be locked securely (slight touch in both directions and door could be opened again). The technician that was called could not fix it. I was offered another room - but the problem with the door was the same. Although the area probably certainly is the best of Buenos Aires (Recoleta) I do not feel safe in a hotel room where doors can not be locked securely. Above all, the in room safe did not work in my first room either... The management obviously accepts this problem - I never heard of any excuse... Next time I will look for a hotel where all doors can be closed and locked and the in room safe works
A small group of five stayed here for two nights whilst passing through Buenos Aires on the way to Patagonia, and another night a week later on the way back. Another separate group of around ten from the UK had also chosen the hotel for their stopover to a similar destination. The hotel has about (35?) rooms and is modern, generally very well maintained and clean throughout. The self serve buffet style breakfast provided an excellent choice. The English speaking staff on reception were extremely helpful when a small problem arose regarding the late arrival of an airport transfer taxi. This was not related to anything the hotel had arranged but they helped us to resolve matters to a successful conclusion. The hotel is around a 45 minute drive from Ezeizia airport and 25 minutes to Jorge Newbery airport. The Recoleta Cemetery is about a 10 minute walk, as was our restaurant of choice (twice) Clarke's Parrilla Steak House. I hope to return next year and will almost certainly stay again.…
This hotel is amazing from the welcome we received when we arrived after a 16 hour journey to the small requests. Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had tea & coffe making facilities. I would recomend booking breakfast as well. Selection was amazing, although don't expect a full english! Fruit, yoghurts, cereals, eggs, cold meats and cheeses with a good selection of bread and pastries . Also juice, tea and very good coffee. This rates as one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I'ts in the centre of the city where there are bars and retaurants within easy reach.
Recolta is an excellent property in an interesting neighborhood. Close to the Cemetery and good restaurants. Check in was fast and efficient. We were in our room in less than 10 minutes after arrival. Front desk staff were obviously on top of their game since we were greeting by name. This has happened at some very high end properties or hotels where you arrive at 2 am, but this was the middle of the afternoon. Not sure how they accomplished this but it was very surprising considering the hotel looked to be very busy. Room was very nice and was bigger than we expected. Everything was super clean. Bar area was nothing special but the bartender and server were very friendly and accommodating to our requests. This is the same area where the included breakfast is served. Breakfast is not over the top but certainly has everything that you would need. Overall we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. …
Stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is in a great location, with a 24 hour mini shop close by and a pizza restaurant nearby too. Also fantastic steak restaurant (El Estrebe) nearby (about 5 minutes walk). Back to the hotel. Reception was really helpful, stall always friendly. They helped us with various questions, booked taxis and transfers and recommended restaurants. Room was nice, one of the biggest hotel rooms ever. No view! Big king size bed. There was a fridge and microwave (but only cups and glasses in the cupboards). There was also a sofa and a desk. Bathroom was clean, with corner shower. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Some hot food, fresh fruit, yogurts, lots of pastries, bread (there was a toaster), jams etc. Coffee and fruit juices. We ate in the restaurant in the evening. Gabriel always seemed to be working, he was very friendly. Had nice meals. The apple crumble pudding was delicious. We had some lunchtime snacks too. All good value. Good location, friendly staff, clean hotel - what more could you ask for.…
