Neighbourhood
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

There is a lot to like about this hotel, but special mention must be given to the staff. Without exception they were smiling, helpful and efficient. The ground floor is very stylish, and the breakfast beautifully set out - and delicious. Our room was of reasonable size, the

This was my husband and my first trip to Argentina and we were not sure what to expect. We’d planned a few days in Buenos Aires before heading off to explore Patagonia and Iguazú. We were so impressed with this great boutique hotel. It is in a good location and no more than

Our experience couldn't have been better! We so appreciated the help with suggestions on where to eat, how to get to the airport, where to get cash, etc. They stored our luggage when we left for two days for Iguazú Falls and it was in our room when we returned. Breakfast choices

This boutique hotel was just the perfect get away. It is quaint, and located in a great part of Buenos Aires. Breakfast was excellent. I also wish to mention that the employees of the hotel could not have been more professional, nice and helpful.

This is a wonderful relatively small boutique hotel in the heart of Palermo Soho. There are wonderful restaurants, bars and shops all around. A cab ride to the Plaza de Mayo is less than $10 US. The staff is very helpful with ideas of where to visit and where to eat. The room

Yes, it looks trendy but they have an elevator. I think they cater for all age groups.

The hotel is about 5 miles from the center of BA. It is in the Palermo neighborhood which is very nice. The airport is about 15 miles from the international airport. We used a private car service to go to and from. They charge about the same as a taxi. Getting around BA is very easy. Taxis are easy to find. Have fun!

Do you have any rooms with twin beds? Do you have any rooms with king beds?
We had three rooms -- all had queen size beds. I would email the hotel directly as they are very quick to respond. front (at) minehotel. Enjoy!

Hi, Breakfast is $12 per person. We thought that was crazy for what you get. Better option is to walk two doors down (out front door take right) and go to the Ninina Cafe/Bakery. There you can get an incredible breakfast for less. The Ninina bakes its own bread, makes great omelets, and has fantastic coffee. The International Airport is about 45 minutes away, depending on traffic which can be awful at certain times of the day. Taxi fare is about $50 US dollars. Taxi fare to Newbery Domestic airport is $20 US dollars. We had very nice and honest taxi drivers. The Mine can arrange to have someone waiting with a name placard for you at the airport. Ours was a few minutes late, but no big deal.

"Rooms are small, very clean, tv with English channels, (which we didn’t have in other hotels in Argentina)"
"rooms overlooking the courtyard garden are quietest"
"Avoid street-facing room if a light sleeper"
"We had a room at the front which had a very small balcony, which was nice, however it was a little noisy but not bothersome at the weekend"
"If you are 2 pax, go for a superior room. The classic rooms are a bit small for 2 pax including luggage."
