Hotel Moreno is in a great location and the staff are very helpful. We arrived early but could not check in as the room was not ready yet. They took our bags and gave us vouchers for breakfast which was very nice. The J Loft is a great suite with huge bed, wide screen tv and jacuzzi. We had a...

My room (loft) at the Moreno Buenos Aires was one of the largest rooms I've ever had at hotel. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was good, and the room was quiet. Not long before my stay the management, in response to customer feedback, moved the buffet breakfasts to a beautiful room with a view on the top floor and...

My husband and I stayed in Moreno Hotel for two days at the beginning of a long trip to Patagonia. The location is ideal being in San Telmo. We walked through the Sunday market and the hotel was relatively close to the Casa Rosada. We stayed in a standard room (Large Room) and it was very large by international standards....

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
