We really enjoyed our stay at Moreno Hotel. It's located in San Telmo and the hotel perfectly incorporates the old charm of the the building and district within the hotel. Our loft room was the size of an apartment, spacious, modern, and clean. On Sunday, the San Telmo market was directly outside the hotel. Aldo's restaurant which is a part...

We spent one night here, on New Years Eve. The city was empty, and nearly everything was closed, when we came in from AEP to the hotel. Our taxi driver wasn't familiar with the hotel, so it was helpful to be able to show him the location on a map. We had stayed twice in Palermo before, and I'll say...

The hotel was recommended to me, and after staying in Palermo Soho, we moved to the Moreno Hotel in San Telmo. The location was fantastic for exploring this part of the city. There are multiple historical sights nearby, you are close enough to walk to the shopping area of Florida Street, and the restaurants of Puerto Modero are a short...

We loved the Moreno Hotel! This is a gem in Buenos Aires. We were not planning on going to Buenos Aires so when we ended up there at the last minute over the new year and we found this hotel and we were so pleasantly surprised. The staff was more than friendly and very helpful. Our room (suite) was large...

Hotel ideally located, nice and helpfull frontdesk staff, spécial thanks to Romina. Very easy to discover Buenos Aires, numerous points of interest and subway stations at walking distance, wide rooms with art deco style.

The room was huge, nice and clean and, even though I was on the first floor next to the street, I didn't had any trouble with quietness. The hotel is really nice because of its age and has a good view (nothing spectacular, just nice) of the surroundings from the roof. The breakfast could be enhanced and the personnel may...

Location: The Hotel is on Ave Moreno (surprisingly enough) which is in the San Telmo district of BA. Well situated for exploring the city and it is quite safe to walk this area in the evenings despite what other reviews say. It's a mixture of residential and shops and a walk along Ave Defensor on an evening provides numerous eating...

This is a love / hate type place. You either love it and the few defects will be charming or you hate it and the oddities will irk you. We LOVED the hotel despite having concerns based on reviews from here. What a way to feel and experience the quirky city that is Buenos Aires. Being there on a weekend...

The hotel was a nice surprise. The staff was friendly and the room was very big with an extra sofa and lots of space. AC was working perfectly. There was a bad smell in the bathroom on some days, which was not very pleasant, but that's the only bad things to say. Breakfast was not crazy but okay. The house...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
