This hotel was just adequate/average for just about everything, but really substandard for some important things---notably the internet, which is very slow when it does work and often does not work at all. It absolutely would not be sufficient for anyone needing to do business from their room. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, so you are not in charge of the temperature of your room. The hair dryer in the room did not work at all, so I asked for another one, and that one just barely worked. I wound up just letting my hair go for the few days we stayed here, but if you're particular about your hair, you'll need to bring your own hair dryer. As others have noted, the rooms are tired and dated (especially the bathroom, but there was plenty of hot water and strong water pressure). The breakfast was the same every day and again, barely average. Some good things: The rooms are large and spacious, the front desk service is very good, the location is amazing (actually attached to Gallerias Pacifica), they offer laundry service, and the bed was comfortable. However, these weren't enough to make up for the hassles, and if we hadn't prepaid and had a ton of luggage, we would have switched hotels. The photo shown really isn't even the hotel, it's the very upscale Galleria Pacifica Mall, of which the hotel comprises one storefront entry. You'd therefore expect this hotel to be more chic, but you'd be wrong. Everything was surface-clean, but some public spaces looked like they need a good deep-clean. Especially because of the lack of internet, I really can't recommend this place; a Wyndham, and at the price per night they're charging, should have reliable high-speed internet and also decent hair dryers! Again, if you must stay here it will be clean enough and adequate, but if you really want to stay in this neighborhood, try the Regente Palace instead. But for the same price per night you can stay in the very nice Hilton Anselmo (if they aren't booked) in San Telmo.…
The location was central. Walking distance from Plaza Mayor, San Telmo, Puerto and Recolletta. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. But… the room was tired and dated, especially the bathroom. And the air conditioning did not work well. It is not controllable from the room, as it is centrally controlled. And was not working well at all.
It was a wonderful Stay in Esplendor Buenos Aires. The Hotel is near the stop off the hopOn Hop off Bus and not fare away from the Cruise Port. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will come back !!
everything was fine , the room was great with a good bed and good bathroom - Friendly helpful staff - Good location at Recoleta in the center of Buenos Aires - what else? i took a taxi to arrive from Ezeiza and all rates from airport taxis are abusive, no now i use only UBer which is cheaper
Hotel Esplendor is in the middle of Buenos Aires shopping district (malls plus street market along Florida St.).... The staff are ver helpful, especially Alejandro and Gustavo. You need to chat with these guys , especially on how to get the best exchange rates, and various tours. The room is clean, with high ceilings...quite eclectic. Would recommend them.
I love this hotel because of its extraordinary location and the size of the rooms. I stay there every time I go to Buenos Aires (at least twice a year). However, it is a pity that they are rapidly letting the hotel deteriorate. There is practically no maintenance work. Another thing I do not understand is that 3 is the maximum guests accepted in the rooms. If a couple with 2 kids wants to stay there, they must book 2 double rooms. The triple rooms are huge and could perfectly accommodate an extra bed or even allow the use of the existing couch for a second child in the same room.
We had several rooms booked same comment air conditioning in room is very poor almost suffocating we need a good night sleep is the most important thing when traveling for work. Front desk staff keep saying the same there is nothing they can do
The property itself needs significant updating and repairs. However, the staff was the best of any lodging we experienced in Argentina. This is a great location. Once they do the updating, it will be among the best in the city.
Great location, close to everything:the mall, the port, multiple restaurants, starbucks next door, convenience stores, etc. Place looks run down for a Wyndham but if you do not plan to spend your day inside then who cares? Internet works fine. I think it was priced correctly.
The location was great, the staff were excellent, workout room left something to improve, price was good value. Room was good. Staff was great in recommending restaurants and directions to visit important sites.
