This place really really is great! Really five star! It's located in recaleta which is an exclusive neighborhood of Buenos Aires. And it's in a beautiful building. The apartment is not just a hotel room it's a full complete apartment with living room bedroom kitchen and bathroom and in fact there are two bathrooms even though they're only one bedroom. Everything was beautiful. Also there is heating in both the living room and in the bedroom. Of course air conditioning in both as well. Also there is flat screen TV in both the living room and the bedroom. There is 24 hour front desk and it's a very quiet apartment on an exclusive quiet street in an upscale neighborhood. The kitchen is complete even with an oven.the TV has many English language channels and this is the first time I have found any accommodation in Latin America where they have English language channels. The bed is big beautiful and comfortable. And the price was not very high at all. If you put all of this together you definitely get a five star accommodation.…

My stay in Alta Piazza was exceptional. It allowed me spend more than 10 days without a worry in the world. Location: Very good. Plenty of shops and coffees. You can easily do groceries and cook in the apartment or have breakfasts outside. Bus stations everywhere to visit other parts of CABA. For those who prefer the subte, go to the stations "la Heras" or "Facultad de Derecho", line H. Staff: Very helpful, polite and discreet. There is somebody at the reception 24/7. Ring the bell at the entrance and you will be welcomed inside. Very kind and professional cleaning staff, did a great job every day. Apartment: We took the apartment with balcony even though it was winter. The place was very spacious, well designed and functional. One full bathroom next to the master bedroom (toilet, bidet, bath+shower, sink). One toilet next to the living room (toilet, sink). Two confortable single beds placed as one in the master bedroom + 1 TV. One sofa-bed in the living room + 1 TV. Fully equipped kitchen: an oven, 4 cooking plates, a big fridge, 3 counters, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee machine, ect. Ask the staff for a complete set of pots and other utensils. We were at one of the highest floors and did not hear any car from the street. Why did I like it: No question asked when inviting guests during the day. I needed a fully equipped kitchen to have traditional food made at home rather than going to restaurants every day. Things to know: No street noise but there is a some aerial traffic in the area due to the proximity with aeroparque Jorge Newbery. If you want to sleep on the sofa-bed, know that due to the poor thickness of its mattress, it is way less confortable than the beds in the master bedroom. Hopefully that sofa-bed's mattress will be changed soon. The bathscreen does not prevent the water from falling on the ground, may need to be fixed too. Conclusion: I'll come back.…

Alta Piazza was our first hotel in Buenos Aires, it definitely was not what we expected. We had difficulties in making the reservation, when we arrived we were told that there was no booking in our name.After 20 minutes we were able to enter the room and it had a musty smell, it was not a good start of our itinerary. I do not recommend this hotel, the staff is not friendly and the facilities are poor.

The room was in desperate need of a complete make over. Blankets and curtains dating from the 70's. Bathroom was not hygienic anymore. Lots of noise with pipes, drains and slamming doors. Very simple breakfast. There should be better places in Recoleta.

We spent 4 nights here and generally enjoyed our stay, but there were several "hiccups" that lessened our enjoyment here, although Gaston immediately took action in each instance. We had room 801, which is a superior room with a nice balcony. The towels were nice as were the sheets and bedding. The room was spacious with a kitchen with a fridge and sink. It also had 1 full bathroom and one half bath room, and a living room with a couch, which was all very nice. However, the AC in the room dumped a bunch of very cold water onto my wife as she slept one night. We reported this in the morning after we had breakfast, and it was addressed that same day, shortly after we reported it, but the guy that was sent out to fix it bungled the job (I watched him work on it as we were in the room when he arrived) and my wife ended up with this happening AGAIN to her as she slept that night. I am certain that this will be fixed by the time anyone reading this review ever stays here again, but just to be sure, kindly ask. The shower handle for the hot water was loose and came off, making it difficult to turn the water on or off, and the water pressure was laughable when trying to take a shower. We reported this to Gaston, and new valves were installed that same day and this caused the water pressure to improve to an acceptable, much more normal level. The problem was not with the water pressure as it turned out, it was with these faulty old valves. I am sure that if someone before us would have simply pointed this out to the front desk, it would have been fixed for our stay. It's one of those items that is difficult for the staff to detect when cleaning and preparing the room, as I doubt any take showers when they do this. No fault for the hotel, actually we give them high marks for fixing it so quickly for us. However, the person who fixed this did not secure the diverter valve, and as you twist the handle from the tub spout to direct the water to the shower head, the valve itself will unthread as you twist the handle. My wife actually ended up accidentally taking the entire valve out of the wall once, before I showed her that all you have to do is to hold the back part (the valve) while you twist the handle. I mentioned this to Gaston, but as we left, it was still the case. The room was quiet generally, slight traffic noise, but tolerable with the windows closed and the AC running. We liked the area, it was about 4 blocks to the Subte and about 2 more to reach the entry to the cemetery. There is a nearby Italian restaurant, but since they tried to rip us off both times we ate there, we don't recommend it. Also, there is a laundry service not far away. This review may not reflect the general good impression we have of this place, but as bad as it may sound, we actually would recommend this place and would even consider staying here again because of it's great value, and nice location and the really great staff. The breakfast was typical of the other places that we stayed at on this trip, sufficient but less than amazing Unless you are determined to have a room with a balcony, I think that the rooms in the back of the hotel would be quieter. Also, there was never a long wait for the elevator, and the WIFI worked wonderfully.…

Friendly staff. The place was big and clean. I was a bit too early for breakfast but had to leave for an early appointmen; the concierge was so kind to make me some breakfast so I wouldn't go without breakfast. Appreciated gesture!

We loved our stay here. All of the attractions were between a 15 - 25 minute walk from the hotel so never felt the need to hop in a cab. Staff very friendly and accommodating. I loved the security, you would get buzzed in and if the employee did not recognize you they would ask for your room card - great touch! This hotel has all it needs to be a 4-5 star, just needs a little freshening up. Breakfast was adequate. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in recoleta!

We stayed a few nights and can endorse the very positive reviews of the staff, who could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is not always offered at apartment hotels, but here it is available and high quality. We did not need to use the kitchen facilities. Our room had good amenities, including a safe, and was very clean, but it was somewhat tired - scuffed paintwork, curtains not drawing together fully etc. It was not as high gloss as the website pictures suggested. Location is great. As well as a nearby metro station, there is a choice of supermarkets and a close by Starbucks. The Recolets Mall (good foreign exchange facilities) is 10 minutes walk as is the Recoleta Cemetery and fine arts museum. There is a good choice of buses stopping in the main street near the hotel, though it is also possible to walk to the downtown in about 30 minutes. …
