Ayers de Recoleta is located within a 3 minute walk from thehal La Recoleta cemetery and the Recoleta Mall. This central location makes it easy to walk to most places in Buenos Aires, such as the Obelisk, Plaza Mayo, Puerto Madero and San Telmo. The hotel rooms, which are serviced daily, are furnished studio apartments with a queen bed, bathroom and a kitchenette that is sufficiently equipped that one could fix a simple meal if so inclined. The dining area has a table and seating for four. Our room rate included breakfast. The hotel, though, has no on-site restaurant. At check in they gave us tickets that could be redeemed for breakfast at some restaurants in the Recoleta Mall. The staff are very helpful but communication can be hard as they only speak Spanish. We managed to get by with our limited Spanish and their broken English.…
The Ayres Recoleta is a serviced apartment and not a hotel. It is well-located very close to the Recoleta Cemetery and across from the Recoleta Mall and close to bus routes and the subway Las Heras station. Basic rooms which are good for a short stay but not really suitable for long-stay. Limited kitchenette with small refrigerator and two-plate stove. Iron available on request. Front office staff speak limited English
This hotel is accommodating offering a kitchen, dining table, and personal bathroom. We stayed in a room with two twin size beds and the room was plenty big. It is in a great location (close to the Cemetary & a mall with coffee, ATMs, etc). It made us feel safe that there is a security guard who has to buzz you in, 24 hours a day. It was clean and quiet. The only thing that I would note is that room service/housekeeping is not daily and in fact is only once a week. That is fine, I just wish we had known ahead of time. We finally went down to the security guard and he was able to provide clean towels. There is a “clean our room/do not disturb” door handle sign which was a little misleading... but once we found out it was all good!
We booked a Hotwire rate and they gave us this hotel. We stayed for only 10 hours and the room was more than adequate for our brief time. The hotel is in a great location: the upscale neighborhood of Recoleta. Nearby is a mall, the Recoleta Cemetery as well as various bars and restaurants. The neighborhood is a great place to stroll and get lost - we felt perfectly safe. The Las Heras subte stop is only a five minute walk away. We arrived at 9 am, but check in begins at 2 pm. We explained our situation to the desk agent and he advised it would be $30 to check in early. After a brief moment, he waived the extra fee and let us into the room. The establishment is more apartment than hotel. Inside the room is a spacious kitchenette complete with coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher as well as an electric range. This is the type of hotel where one doesn't require room service...it's all very DIY. As far as decor, it's all very basic, but functional. Don't expect high-end finishes...but, again, things work. My only complaint would be Wifi is spotty, especially if you're standing near the window. Our room was on the second floor and overlooked Calle Uriburu. The street is busy, but we seldom heard any noise from below. If you're looking for a functional, DIY space instead of high end, luxury, I would definitely recommend the Ayres.…
This hotel is convinient located in the Recoleta, beside the Recoleta Mall and several pubs and restaurants. The room has a good size and the queen bed is confortable. It also counts with a well equiped kitchen for those who likes to cook. The room and the bathroom are very well cleaned. In top of that the price is honest. I've spent a week there and I have no complains. It can be a little bit noisy at night due to the bars and pubs in the neighborhood.
This is more like an apartment than a hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Not a fancy place but nice. A small kitchen with stove sink and microwave. Dishes, silverware, glassware included. Small refrigerator. Worked out great! Good location good neighborhood lots of places to eat & shop. You must take a bus or cab to see museums and city sites. I would recommend this place.
My friend and I booked this "hotel" for our staying in Buenos Aires January 2017. We had great experiences with all the hotels that we stayed in other cities based on the ratings in popular websites but NOTHING could have prepared us for what we saw! The room was nothing like the pictures. It had black mole on the walls and we couldn't breath (it only took 1 hour for my nose to start running and my eyes to burn). We asked for a second towel and front desk refused to do so. We were told that breakfast will be served on a tray and it was a fixed menu (of god knows what, since we did not stay long enough to see it!). the room was sooooooooooo noisy you could not sleep and there was dust everywhere. We found a reliable chain hotel and just moved in the middle of the night. It costs us exactly the same as this one and we were close to the Obelisk. So I really CANNOT UNDERSTAND why people give such high rating to this place. Stay away!…
Perfect location: functional and comfortable. Rooms to front can be noisy at night but if you tire yourself out taking in the sights you won't hear that. Comfortable beds. Clean. The staff were outstanding and so friendly. Will definitely come back.
This hotel is in a very nice location near the Recoleta Mall, Cemetery (highly recommend touring), and many eating establishments. The rooms are spacious and include a dining table and kitchenette. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, including supplying us with additional pillows on request. This hotel is for the traveler who is self-sufficient and doesn’t need room service, ice makers, hotel bars, etc. We were able to find a small grocery around the corner. This is all we needed to get a few food items for breakfast, snacks, and drinks for the room. We were also able to get some work done while sitting around the dining table. The free wifi was very good. For the price, I would recommend this hotel for those who do not need luxury, but a good basic, clean and spacious room with an accommodating staff in a safe location.…
This hotel was easy to get around the city from. We had a flight that was later in the day and we were able to get a late afternoon checkout for a small fee which made all the difference in our trip. It was around 90 degrees and we wanted to see the city, but we wanted to make sure we could shower before having a long international flight back home. We were very grateful to be able to keep the room for most of the day and checkout before our flight!
