When Hotel Madero was being designed, we wanted it to reflect the style and sophistication of the Puerto Madero neighborhood we call home.At Hotel Madero one of the main challenges with the design of our hotel in Buenos Aires was to be able to incorporate functional diversity with space unity, to provide for flexible usage of the space and to integrate each area easily.Hotel Madero Buenos AiresThe Argentine studio Abulafia Figoni Prado was hired to do the interior design of our hotel in Buenos Aires. The project incorporates current and evolving spaces, places where people really want to stay and to feel comfortable in their environs. The intention was to design a hotel in Buenos Aires with atmosphere, generating a rich interior architecture through a suggestive way of illumination, and combining rich materials and textures so that each of the spaces has its own identity. The acquisition of the contemporary art is also very significant. Paintings and sculptures were incorporated, most of them from local artists

Very nice stay, European look and feel, although we are US and looking for some difference. Beds good and restful. Breakfast awesome! Lobby furniture looks nice but is VERY low. Uncomfortable for a 6+ foot man. Room furnishing seems sparse and again sofa's uncomfortable, wide and low. No ice machines on floor although room service was pretty quick to get ice to our room. No easy electrical access to living room sofa without using extension cord. long sofa but no end table at one end. Nice bar! Second bathroom lacked place to put soap in shower and didn't have tissue. Most hotel rooms have body towel, hand towel and washcloth. These only had body towel and hand towel. Very clean.

My wife and I enjoyed our 3-day stay at the Madero hotel. The modern hotel is located in a relatively quiet area, away from the the main noisy central district, but still only an inexpensive taxi to the main attractions and some terrific restaurants. Our room was large, clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was good, with plentiful choices. Best of all was the hotel staff who were very helpful in so many ways, including providing directions to various venues, making reservations at restaurants, obtaining taxis, confirming pick-up arrangements for previously booked tours, advising on currency exchange - always doing all of this in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our cruise. The room was very nice with all amenities. One drawback is super thin walls between the rooms. We could hear TV and guests talking from the room next to us. Our friends who stayed few rooms away from us had the same issue. The included breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. We also had a very light dinner the first night in the hotel restaurant Red - it was very tasty but quite pricey (at least for Buenos Aires). Be careful if the hotel orders you a taxi. For some reason, the drivers don't turn on the meter in that case and charge you whatever they want. Then they tell you that hotel promised them that we pay whatever they charge. Not really sure if that's true, but insist that they turn on the meter.
All in all, Hotel Madero was an excellent choice and the price was right. The location of the hotel was great as well - close to the center and most of the historical buildings within walking distance.

We spent 5 nights here and were generally impressed. The location in the Puerto Madero was great - lovely area to walk around and explore.Taxis are cheap in BA so if you need to go too other areas it is not difficult.
The room we had was spacious and had a very comfortable bed. You can access your Netflix account on the TV. Feather pillows are available you ask for them. We had a nice view of the river.
Breakfast is fine -but expresso coffee is extra.
There is a small gym on the top floor near the pool.
The concierge,Sebastian, was very helpful and told us how to go to Colonia in Uruguay for a day and booked our tickets on the ferry. He also booked a tour of the Tigres Delta for us and we found that this tour company was excellent.Only negative was that the car sent to collect us at EZE airport on arrival was 45 minutes late and I had to try to ring to make sure it was coming. All in all, highly recommended.

We stayed here for just one night at the end of a cruise and apart from the fact we were unable to check in early everything was very good .
We had a deluxe room with balcony and river view as part of a package giving us breakfast and a massage each and this was excellent value .
As others have commented the Madero is in a good safe location with lots of bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk and the Saturday night we were there lots of people were out & about strolling along the waterfront.
An added bonus was the England v Wales live rugby on the tv in the room so all was good .m
Would defo stay at this hotel .

This is a boutique hotel in the Puerto Madero area with a number of art pieces spread throughout. Being a smaller hotel it has limited facilities. The bar was excellent and the Red Resto provided a buffet breakfast that had a good selection of food and beverages however, there was limited food availability for other times and days. All staff that we had contact with provided a high quality of service. We selected a superior double room which at check in we were informed that we had been given 2 single beds as we needed to put in the special request section that we wanted a king bed. We have stayed in BA at 3 other hotels and have never had this issue. We also booked direct with the hotel over 5 months previously and were very disappointed with this. As it was Valentine's Day we felt that people who had purchased their packages had been given preference and this was an excuse. (no evidence just a feeling) The check in staff did offer to move us on the next day when a king room was available. We declined as we just couldn't be bothered repacking. The room was so spacious and the decor was stylish and well appointed. You do expect rooms to have no damage and unfortunately our bathroom shower screen had a large chip and a cracked tile. The bathroom had 2 basins and was very spacious and clean. My advice to anyone considering a stay here is to make sure you write in the special request section when booking a double room the type of bed that you want.

Buenos Aires was the first leg of a few week trip in Latin America. This means Suitcases, Bags and lots of clothing. ……and there is already the first big benefit of this hotel. The room was spacious! Category “Doble Superior”
The location is great, the viewpoint over the totally renovated Puerto Madero is situated 50 meters from the hotel; part of the old Town “San Telmo” is just across the bridge, so plenty points of interest are within walking distance.
If you need help, directions, recommendations, reservation, transportation, whatever….ask for Sebastián at the reception! Most perfect travel guide!
40 years of my life was worldwide traveling, so looking at the price – cost relation, this hotel has nothing to complain about it.

Hotel Madero provided great service from the time we arrived. They helped set up a car to pick us up at the airport after an overnight flight. When we arrived our rooms were ready which was so nice after a long flight. The location in Puerto Madero was a great place to get acclimated to Buenos Aires. The rooms were very comfortable. We choose a room with a balcony which was an added bonus on Christmas Eve since we could sit out there and see all the fire works. We celebrated Christmas Eve at the hotel and the event was wonderful. The food was delicious. Breakfast was included with the room an offered something for everyone. It was a great way to start each day! The hotel staff was extremely welcoming and helpful.

We had a great stay at this hotel for 4 days. We went to the New Years Eve dinner which was ok... food was not worth the price but the rooftop toast was definitely worth it. In the future I would pay the fee just to go to the rooftop toast, instead of the dinner. The vegetarian option was lame. The only issue we had with the hotel was the hotel told us we would pay a specific rate at the time of booking and VAT 21% would be refunded to us bc we are foreigners with a stamped passport. Once we checked in they gave us all the excuses in the book of exchange rate, our bank charging us more blah blah. In the end after 4 days they allowed us to pay cash in pesos to avoid the extra rate exchange. DO NOT pay with American credit cards or dollars!!! You will lose a lot of money bc they exchange the currency at a much lower market rate. You are much better off exchanging your dollars to pesos and paying IN pesos. Word of advice we saved over $120 dollars by doing this. Other than that, the hotel was wonderful!

We stayed in this conveniently located, quiet, modern hotel for six nights during our first visit to Buenas Aires. Sebastian the concierge, could not have been more accommodating in helping us to arrange tickets for tours, a visit to the Teatro Colon opera house, reservations to local restaurants, some smaller local gems, and to an excellent tango show which did not involve dinner. His suggestions, logistical support, and travel arrangements were based on sound research and knowledge. All of the front desk staff and even the waitress and waiters in their restaurant provided excellent service and were willing to translate any item on the menu or answer any question. It was a pleasure to stay here because we were so well taken care of.

They do accept payment in cash - for all of their services, you can also use a Visa card for which you will get a better exchange rate that the official government rate, ask at the front desk. When traveling to Argentina also be informed of the day to day Blue Dollar, - you can exchange your dollar from the people offering these services in the area around Florida Street, but always compare and be prepared to haggle, ask for a better rate. Also, many restaurants and businesses accept dollars and will generally give you a better rate. As a final note, at Hierro Parrilla at the San Telmo market, the cashier can also exchange your dollars to pesos, just ask nicely or arrive with a bottle of tequila at tell Rodrigo (the owner) that you are a friend of Sergio.
