This hotel is very plain, easy to go all aroud Buenos Aires. They should be grateful of their staff, they were so professional, nice and helpful. For our lucky the pool was cleaned, so we could use it on our last days. In the room there was stains on sheets and carpet, those have tried to clean, but haven' t...

I booked the hotel because it was to be a hot weekend in Buenos Aires (I live here) and the site said it had a pool, which my flat doesn't. The hotel itself is in a sketchy area of San Telmo that can be a bit dangerous at night. They lock the front door at night so you have to...

The hotel was usefully situated for sight seeing. The rooms were large and clean but soft furnishings such as rugs tired and dirty. There was a sink and few bits of crockery and cups but no kettle. So I'm not sure what the cups were for!? It would have been nice to be able to make tea or coffee. Breakfast...

Visited Buenos Aires for an experimental film festival called Bienal de la Imagen en Movimiento in November 2016. I was staying at a deluxe room or superior room which I forgot. The room was so big with my own living room. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was also spacey with bath tub and nice smelling soap and shampoo. There was...

What kind of a bathroom has NO PLACE to hang a wet towel, I'm not kidding, there was none. A simple hook on the wall! This detail was typical of a poorly designed hotel. The room was large, but the size seemed silly when you saw how few amenities or furniture there was. There were no drawers, and little hanging...

This hotel is fine for what it is. The rooms are large and clean, though the bathrooms are tiny. Kind of uncharming big cement structure in a rundown area. Staff was nice enough in the reception (though usually very busy) and breakfast staff was friendly too. Breakfast was ok. Some sweet breads and very decent coffee. I took my coffee...

The service here is aweful. We were locked out late at night standing for 20 minutes while the night security guard was "taking a break". It happened to both of us. I got stuck in the elevator between floors for 10 minutes and no one responded. Run down property and very bad services. We checked out a day early, and...

Our stay at this hotel was pleasant and relaxed. The breakfast they served was all good. The room was clean and comfy, it had sufficient space for my bf and I, including a balcony. The only thing we didn't like was the location, too dark and noisy sometimes. We asked for bars nearby and the lady in the front desk...

Our experience with Babel Suites wasn't too bad considering the price we paid, but I wouldn't pay any more. We had to switch rooms because our first one had a number of problems - broken headboard, loud noises from water system, toilet not flushing properly. Our second room was okay but dirtier - sheets were stained and the carpet beneath...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
