The hotel is in a really walkable neighborhood, with plenty of options for dining nearby. The staff was also really helpful and professional. Maria at reception was great, as well as some of the restaurant staff that was there daily. The 'but ' is that the hotel has not been all that well maintained. The upholstered furniture and the carpet in our room were stained/spotted, and so was some in the common areas. The daily housekeeping in our room was very good, so not sure why the neglect of the obviously tired and dirty furniture and carpets. The other negative was the shower in our room. It was in need of a refresh. The caulking was moldy, and the floor and doors were in need of replacement, too. Again, it was clean, but just past time for replacement. We got over it, because they didn't have any other suites the first 2 nights of our stay, and by then, it just wasn't worth moving. I would still recommend the hotel though, based on the great location and staff. Just be aware that the facility itself may not be great.…

An excelent hotel, great location, almost everything can be visited by a walk or nice long walk, the room very big and the bed so comfortable, the breakfast delicious, including fresh honey and croissants. Very kind people with a smile helping with everything. Highly recomend this hotel.

I stayed from July 8 to 9, 2022 (one night). It is a hotel that pretends to be 5 stars but falls short. In many details one realizes that in reality it is not so. For example: at breakfast you have to ask the waiter for more coffee because there are no containers to serve yourself. I made a reservation through a US based website and they decided I had to pay VAT again. Finally, after a tough discussion, they gave up.

Su reseña es de gran importancia para nosotros, gracias a la misma, podemos trabajar en mejorar aún más nuestros servicios y atención a los huéspedes que visitan Recoleta Grand Hotel. Lamentamos profundamente no haber logrado alcanzar sus expectativas, era sin lugar a dudas nuestro principal objetivo. Con relación al desayunador, la metodología de trabajo tiene que ver con la posibilidad de personalizar el servicio a nuestros huéspedes, ofreciendo un producto de calidad, recién hecho, y evitar que se recaliente en un termo que genere una pérdida en la calidad, es probable que sea un sistema más lento que el autoservicio, pero creemos firmemente que por sobre todas las cosas, garantiza un producto de excelencia. Respecto al impuesto, al IVA, que hace mención. Como bien indica, el hecho de haber realizado su reserva y pago a través de un sitio web estadounidense, generó que el mismo no incluyera impuestos dentro de su reserva, particularidad que intentamos explicarle infructuosamente. Entendemos que no era una situación simple, tanto para nosotros, poder explicarle, como para usted comprender, es un hecho poco habitual el ocurrido, normalmente los huéspedes argentinos estilan hacer sus reservas por sitios locales o que no exijan el prepago, para evitar cargos impositivos adicionales, como el impuesto PAIS por ejemplo. Efectivamente en ningún momento quisimos que se tornara una discusión, lo que inicialmente intentó ser una explicación de un determinado contexto, y lamentamos que esto haya repercutido en la imagen que finalmente tuvo de nuestro hotel, y en la valoración que ha hecho de su estadía con nosotros. Very clean and well situated hotel with good service. Walking distance to Recoleta Cemetery and Plaza Francia. Rooms are very fresh and nicely decorated in European style. Unfortunately the pool was not open.

I come to town often and stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, good service, comfortable rooms, breakfast ok, nothing fantastic. The restaurant was better, service still good with fair price, good wines with lower prices than other restaurants in the region, but the cuisine is not the same, cold steak, cold eggs... has the potential to improve.

My husband and I made a first time visit to South America for our honeymoon. We visited Buenos Aires for the first part of the honeymoon and stayed at the Recoleta Grand Hotel. The staff were very helpful from check in, through meals services, through check out. As non-fluent Spanish speakers the staff were very helpful to us (speaking English). Staff helped up with necessary travel needs (getting Covid tests and getting documents printed to be able to travel). The suite that we stayed in was very clean and well decorated. We were comfortable and relaxed the entire stay. The location of the hotel is very convenient to be able to walk to many wonderful sites. (Recoletta Park, Museums, and restaurants. It is in a great location to be able to walk around and enjoy what Buenos Aires has to offer. Short taxi or public transportation ride away to get to the La Boca and a great city market that has wonderful empanadas and other treats. We definitely look forward to visiting again and will stay at the Recoleta Grand Hotel.…

What a great hotel! It deserves to be one of the top hotels on Trip Advisor. We had stayed at the Recoleta Grand on a previous visit to Buenos Aires – nearly 2 ½ years ago and we had no hesitation in booking to stay here again. We were certainly not disappointed on this visit either. The hotel is conveniently and ideally situated in a safe neighbourhood-with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Contact with the hotel prior to our stay was efficient and helpful and, from the moment we arrived to the time of our departure, service was excellent and delivered with a smile. Our room was spacious and we were impressed at the high standard of cleaning from housekeeping staff. Breakfast was very good and service from restaurant staff excellent also. Everyone in front of house was excellent - friendly and helpful - but a special thank you to Deborah and Federico who, via email before our arrival, made advance bookings at a restaurant we were keen to eat at. Thank you to the hotel for allowing us to stay for a longer period of time when our cruise from Buenos Aires was cancelled and our travel agent was working to get us back home.…

This is a really good hotel. Our key highlights were the elegant, beautiful appearance of the hotel, including a lovely breakfast area (matched by the excellent choice and quality of the breakfast). The rooms were spacious and of a high standard and housekeeping were fantastic - extremely friendly and even provided chocolates. Location is also great in a lovely, safe area. The only minor disappointment was that the hotel reception were poor at assisting us with social plans - we accept that certain things (eg. Football tickets) may not be possible to obtain, but we expected to be kept updated, rather than us having to check and keep reminding reception. Overall, great hotel.
