Hello. Visiting Buenos Aires with my wife, we stayed at the Centuria Hotel for 5 days. We had created an itinerary and the intention was to have a hotel where we could sleep at night and not spend money on breakfast. If that's your intention, it's worth it.
The room is air conditioned, the floor is carpeted, has a heater and the bed is super comfortable. So, as we spent the whole day outside and arrived tired at night, we rested in a comfortable place. The next day, before leaving the hotel, we always had breakfast - there were few options, some media lunas, cold cuts, fruits, cereals, eggs, coffee, tea and juices; but they were good and it was one less expense, in addition to not wasting time having to look for a place on the street.
The hotel even provides a gym - but we can't say how good it is. As I said, the idea was just to have a place to rest.
The structure is very old, so the elevator is very noisy; but it's nothing that bothered us. The room does not have air conditioning, so going in the Argentine summer could be a problem. The room phone didn't work either. But the most annoying thing of all was the fact that the room only had two sockets, one of which was inside the closet!! - That's right you read!! There are no food services. The service is very pleasant.
So, everything will depend on the style of your trip. If the idea is, like ours, to go and spend the whole day walking the streets, seeing different places, and just arriving at the hotel to shower and sleep, in addition to not needing to spend on breakfast, we recommend it - especially if it's In the winter. Even for the cost-benefit of the restaurant.
Now, if your idea is to have a place where you can enjoy the hotel more, not spend so much time on the street, have the possibility of eating at the hotel, having leisure activities at the hotel, then perhaps another option would be better, which may be more expensive.
For us, it was worth it and we would go back.

Nice central hotel, they have garages but they charge for them outside of the reservation. Their air conditioning had broken and they offered to cancel the reservation or give us fans. Comfortable beds and a good breakfast included.

It indicates that it is 4 stars but in reality its facilities need to be renovated but it is very well located 1 block from Av. 9 de Julio and 4 from the Obelisk, it also offers good and varied included breakfast, clean rooms. Public transport is very close, both metro and bus, in general a good experience and at a good price.

I have been staying in this hotel for several years before the pandemic that implied many and most hotels closed in Argentina since March 20, 2020. It had always been an outstading 4 stars hotel located in downtown Buenos Aires and there were significant reasons to choose it for basically for my business trips to the capital city of Argentina: the profuse buffet breakfast, the ample rooms, a cosy business center with a desktop computer and big office table, channel tv subscription featuring several international broadcasting networks such as the RAI, CNN and TVE, among others. Another and quite unique trait of Centuria hotel has been the curated art gallery comprehending avant garde paintings by renowed Argentine visual artists being the woman curator an art specialist who can tell and explain many "secrets" of the shown art works.
And after several restrictions started to be released in Argentina during October 2020, I wondered about the re-opening of the Centuria hotel and I had the pleasure to learn that it survived the "slaughtering" of hotels that the extremely long Argentine quarantine implied! I was so happy to see that Centuria hotel is up and running since the beginning of 2021 year and with a new ownership and staff (many kind and sympathetic employees from Venezuela). And the most meaningful so far is the fact that this property continues its excellent service as a 4 stars hotel: buffet breakfast is now served by welcoming ladies, business center is ongoing having the same facilities it used to have, the art gallery is again and with so beautiful paintings, and something very accurate for these times: it has strong lighting, which differs from the fading gloom that is in many hotels as a consequence of the quarantine and pandemic. Lighting means life!
I stayed in April, May and August 2021.

Avoid this hotel!! Rooms without a minibar, warped cupboards, no working telephone, the bathroom drain is not enough to drain the water, water leaks in the toilet, dirty carpet, in addition to all this, there was a certain resistance to fulfilling basic requests such as glasses and when ordering cutlery, the receptionist said he didn't have any (ok... a hotel without cutlery!). I've stayed in Hostels and "non-star" hotels that were more organized and better. It's incredible to think that when searching for the name of the Centuria hotel the indication is that the hotel is 4 stars, highly misleading information. During my stay there was a leak in the middle of the lobby and no signs indicating the danger of slipping, to avoid accidents. Apart from the other problems. To paraphrase a guy from another review, the hotel shouldn't be called centuria but penury. What a horrible experience!!!

I already knew this hotel before the pandemic but I had not returned after the restrictions ended and with an event in CABA last month I decided to stay again because my experience in February 2020 had been very good.
But now I am very disappointed! They have changed owners, they no longer offer lunch like before the pandemic or a bar or resto-bar in the afternoon, something that gave a nice color to the hotel. The breakfast is smaller and they have dismantled the Business Center where there were always a couple of desktop computers or PCs, ideal for the business traveler who must attend meetings or events. In the rooms, it seems that the mattresses have not been changed for years.... the staff is not as friendly as they knew how to be, a rather rude Venezuelan manager Aribel who does not show leadership because the Centuria hotel has a lot of potential and it is very sad how it has fallen apart. this!
The little that remains are the paintings by local artists, although the curator rarely attends because she is already of age.

We had the stay paid and the reservation confirmed the day before by phone. When we arrived to check in they told us that there was no more space, that we should contact our travel provider so that they could solve the problem, they did not take care of anything. After a while another man arrived with a reservation and they gave him the room. As??? Wasn't it that there was no more room??? Truly DISASTER.

I have been visiting the hotel since it was called Cámbremon and it was a luxury.
I start with the aspects to improve and there are many...
Year after year I notice a continuous decline in the quality of facilities and service.
The double STD marriage, on this visit, did not have a hair dryer, an essential accessory for my wife. At our request, they gave us a tiny device that burned down after 5 minutes of use. The plugs, for God's sake!!! dilapidated and with bad contact. There was no minibar either. We complained but they gave us a evasive response.
The double bed in our room was already very worn out and gave the feeling of sleeping in a well. Worst of all were the noises of the elevators, or some other machine, that echoed in the silence of the night. I don't remember having suffered that torture before, or I will never have been on the seventh floor.
Small towels, only one for the marriage. We don't mind sharing a towel but that never happened to us. Large towels, two for now.
There is no longer a restaurant for lunch or dinner, which was very convenient.
Strengths:
The breakfast is still excellent, even better than previous visits and the cleanliness is very good.
The quality/cost ratio is reasonable with the balance I make.
Finally, I say that I regret making this review because I know that the hotel had better times. I hope next year to write all positive points.

We just arrived at the hotel with my family. Nothing to do with the photos shown in the photos. Terrible hotel, dirty, in poor condition. Broken doors, the bathroom with a broken bidet that leaks water. Don't waste money coming to a hotel with these features

The centuria hotel is implemented terrible, disgusting, there is no air conditioning in Argentina because the humidity is terrible. Adding to that the days I went there was an invasion of mosquitoes, my whole family had a terrible time.
They didn't want to change our hotel. The hotel was destroyed, broken parts of the bathroom ceiling and the bedroom floor.
They didn't give us any support.
Don't even think about going to this hotel, it was my first time in Argentina and it was a horrible experience.
I traveled with my family, my mother and my girls, and this hotel treated us terribly.
