the positive points : good price and location, very clean, old fashion hotel, but for 4 stars there are some points to improve, small rooms, air conditioner fixed ( you can not turn off), no gym room, no valet parking.
Wish we could have stayed longer. The Hotel Dora was delightful in every way. The rooms were each unique and different which made it more of an adventure. The grounds were impeccable as was the service. We will return. Thank you, -ccw
This hotel is in need of demolition, although the foyer is its nicest feature. The rooms are pretty poor (I stayed in two over 4 nights) and the bathrooms are shocking. Everything needs an analytical look, from the dot-matrix printers in use at reception, to the single ply toilet rolls in the rooms, worn towels and very poor wall insulation. EVERYTHING occurring in adjacent rooms could be clearly heard. Breakfast was pretty good and the place is well located. Spend your money elsewehere until they fix it.
I spent there three nights. The hotel is quite standard, a kind of old fashioned. Room was pretty small but funcional enough and clean. Location was absolutely great. All in all, I believe it is an acceptable option, given that you are not looking for a fancy place to stay at. Last point: my booking did not include breakfast. Better double check.
Perfect fit for us. Walk to tourist area, park, main bus/train terminals. Seemed pretty newly updated, but had Old world class in demeanor and furnishings. Excellent price. Main pedestrian shopping streets has lots of people willing to change $100 bills for pesos at a ridiculously good rate, much better than official.
An average hotel with a great location near Florida (a shopping and good restaurants area). The staff was very helpful and rooms with air conditioning. A basic but tasteful breakfast with fruits, different breads, juices and stark coffee,
I only spent one night at the Dorá Hotel, but that was enough time for me to have a great experience. Ever since the beginning, I had some issues on the first hotel I stayed, which is really close to Dorá, when I was going for a walk and found the Hotel, I decided to check for the availability for one night. The staff was very thoughtful and even though they didn’t have a room they gave me their whatsapp number then I could try it later, I did and everything worked very well. The room was very comfortable, the toilet had a good water pressure and the hair dryer worked well too. The breakfast didn’t have many options, but everything was delicious. After my checkout, I left my luggage at the reception so I could enjoy the day unworried. Very good experience, I’ll totally be back to stay there.…
My room was an old room, carpet dirty. My biggest problem was to find that they charged me 666 dollars for one night! When the rate was less than 100 dollars. Hotels.com mistake? Dora Hotel mistake? I do not know!!! Disputing charges since January. Be careful when booking.
Good hotel with central location. Shopping in Florida Street. Parking for 240 pesos a day. Spacious rooms and very helpful staff. Rooms are air-conditioned. Unfortunately no pool and gym. I can recommend it
If there is something that attracts me to a hotel, or any other place, is feeling taken care off... well, that is precisely my Hotel Dora experience from the minute we arrived there after a very long red eye flight... I wont refer to bell boys or concierges, but to friends who made us have a great time ! On top, a stone throw from San Martin Subte Station, from Calle Florida and Galerìas Pacìfico, and all major attractions in Central Buenos Aires.
