Everything was perfect and hotel actually exceeded our expectations. Located in the heart of Buenos Aires, walking distance to most of the attractions. Room as well as bathroom were very spacious, clean and comfortable. Really great value for money. I can definitely recommend.
This hotel is situated in a crowded central place in Buenos Aires. The hotel is average . It’s centrally located just near the important land mark the Obelisk. The rooms were small for my liking. The services were also average. The breakfast was ok .
I'll start with the good bits. The hotel reception is bright and modern, with mainly bi-lingual staff, good security (needed) and nice breakfast room with nice breakfast. Now deep breath, the bad: The hotel is situated in calle Esmerelda, very central but very sleazy with a sex shop on one corner and homeless people sleeping in the next doorway. This doesn't particularly faze me as I work nights in central London, but might terrify some guests. The two lifts are tiny, only about 6 feet high and with a maximum capacity of just three people. The room was as bare as possible, a small double bed, one desk and chair, TV on the wall and tiny toilet and shower. A large mirror was propped up at the end, but no pictures or decoration on the beige walls. The TV had 67 channels of which not one was in English (not even Bloomberg or bbc world) The floor was polished wood or laminate, but no rugs or suchlike. Hot water was a matter of luck (usually no) and the industrial air conditioner was good for cooling the room, but as noisy as a tractor. On the ninth floor we had a spectacular view of a wall. If you've seen carry on abroad you'll get the general idea. Fortunately we were only staying two nights so we grinned and bore it. One more thing, this hotel has a four star rating…
Good hotel with excellent localization and nice breakfast. But, we found problems in the shower. The water from the shower and from the sink was leaking across the drain. The bathroom floor was completely wet. We had a terrible bath. The next day I told the receptionist what had happen the day before and he said "OK". Not even an apologize for the inconvenient. It was a very bad experience.
We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel. The room was so small there was no space for two suitcases. It was also very grubby with a filthy area under the minibar and a rusty soap dish. The WiFi was sporadic. I have stayed in backpacker hostels that are better.
