I had stayed 2 nights to do a short visit to Buenos Aires. The location of the hotel is really good, very near to the subway station of Lima, and a walking distance from the obelisk. But the hotel is really out dated were should I start, toilet is from the last century with the douche door missing a handle....

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It's well located on the Avenida 7 de Julio, the main Avenue of Buenos Aires. Close to the popular touristic spots in Centro. It has nice view of the Avenue(depends on the room though) The staffs are very kind, nice and helpful. Breakfast was fine but the space was pretty packed up...

This hotel was ok. I went there on Union business February 1-5, 2016. The location is great. The rooms are comfortable, smallish. Beds are very low. One English speaking channel on TV. Take your own wash cloth and soap, shower cap etc. you will not get a wash cloth at this hotel. No room service. In hotel restaurant was not...

Regarding the shower cap, shaver and tooth brush, are available...

Hotel had good helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Hotel acceptable for a couple of days, it is aged but situated in 9th July Avenue, very central, walking distance to central areas. Local bus service from international airport will drop you to the door because of its location. Our room looked straight into 9th July Avenue...

Except for the good location, I don't understand what else is good with the hotel. My room was small and cramped, with old furniture, so no comfort. Breakfast was not bad, although small breakfast area (and always crowded). Staff was helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is more of a 2+/3 star, I would never give it 4 stars.

"This is never a 4 star hotel." That's a phrase I heard time and time again from other guests while staying at this hotel. Its location was wonderful, being between the Buenos Aires monument and the radio station on 9th July avenue. However, the rooms in particular had an old fashioned look and feel about them. The safe had been...

The room was very clean, but very old towels, sink, at night there wasn't hot water, almost cold, little water for a shower. In a central location, what was good. Hotel needs a remodeling. Would not go back. Service just ok, not really friebdly, wireless avaiable. The good point was cleaness.

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
