We stayed here for 7 nights over the holidays. The location is great. The hotel is only a block from 9 de julio avenue, and a few blocks from the obelisk. There are plenty of bus stops around and we definitely took adventage of that. The breakfast was a simple continental with bread, eggs, bacon, sweets, fruit and cereal. Enough to get us started in the morning. The service was amazing. The staff, specially at the reception, were very helpful and patient. They made our stay very pleasant, because everything we needed they were there to help. The room was clean, a bit smaller than I expected but since we didn't spend much time there, that didn't bother us that much. The bed was not as comfotable as I would like but the pillows were. The shower was amazing. No complaints here. One thing that I thought it was annoying it was that a couple of times, after they cleaned the room they didn't leave toilet paper and towels. We had to ask for it. Overall this is an very good hotel and I would definitely stay at this place again. …
Nice hotel with good wifi. For my non Spanish speaking friends download Netflix before you go...very limited English channels available. Nice breakfast. Would have been 5 star, but no coffee maker in room!
Here is a hotel that can easily be overlooked when searching for accommodation in BA. It is located just off Av. Santa Fe on the edge of the Recoleta district in a quiet street (well, as quiet as any street in BA can be.) Clean, well serviced by very helpful staff and the rates are very good. There are more places to eat or drink around here than you will need and if you learn to use the bus system in BA then you can get anywhere from here.
+ The 'executive' room was not fancy yet it had OK view, good bed and enough storage space. The shower was strong and warm. The breakfast was nice with lots of fruits (no vegetables though), large variety of tea bags. - The hotel is not new and everything is a bit used. The man on reception that we met upon arrival was rather unfriendly. Bathroom is a bit dark and bidet was weird at best ) The breakfast menu was the same on both days.
As many of my fellow travelers have rightly stated, the location of Solans is superb--smack dab in the middle of everything. For the quality of the property, the price is just about right in the midrange vicinity. Although every city has its charming and churlish bits, we have found that it is people (particularly those responsible for our wellbeing) who can change a trip into a trauma. The folks at Solans made sure we enjoyed our stay with their friendly demeanor and helpful banter. Our overall opinion --- A double hi-5!
I have spent four nights between end of october and the beginning of november 2018 in this Hotel. The position is excellent, close to the microcentro and Recoleta. The breakfast is very good and the price formidable, specially for persons coming from euro countries. I got two different rooms. Both were clean and comfortable, but while the room with a view on the Calle libertad is ok, the room at the third floor with window in the court was dark and a little bit small, even though acceptable considering the price
This hotel has a great location as its biggest advantage. Close to the obelisco, teatro Colon and many other touristy places. Staff is extremely friendly and were able to help me with comfirming my tour pickups and details. Beeakfast is on the first floor and is just ok. Not a widest variety of food but a good standard. The room is clean and smaller than average with nice and clean but also small bathroom. The building's best days have passed so the overall feeling is nothing luxurious but for the price there is nothing to complain about really.
We spent the last portion of our trip here. The best thing at this hotel is the location. It is very close to many attractions and it is safe to walk at night. The breakfast is OK. We had to ask for toilet paper and another towel the first morning. For me this is a big no no. Our room was to tiny. There is not even enough space to place your luggage. But it was OK just to be in the middle of the Recoleta.
We were redirected here after our hotel had a problem with heating. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and did their best to make our stay a pleasant one. The facilities, however, are just average, although the crew is very professional. Rooms are cleaned in the morning and checked for any problems in the afternoon. Breakfast is meager for European or Brazilian standards, but is average for Argentina. Location is very good.
Had our guide book a room there for a layover for just a day. The staff was very nice and attentive. Spoke English ok enough. The room was smaller than expected but did the job. Overall was good and in a great location downtown.
