Previously (before Covid) we enjoyed a stay at this hotel. Great location. Felt it to be a good bargain so we booked this stay. This seven day trip was just the opposite. The hallway of our room had a distinctive unpleasant odor. We could smell it in our room while sleeping the first night. The following day, the hotel offered to switch our room. The staff member that came up to bring us to the new floor agreed that there was an unusual odor and could not positively identify it. (Upper management/ownership later said the NO guests or staff smelled the odor. UNTRUE. They passed it off as "stronger cleaning products" but my experience told me otherwise) We repacked and moved to an "upgrade" on a different floor. We were already qualified for an upgrade being Hotels.com gold members. Neither room's bathroom door would close. The 2nd room's bathroom door was obviously badly distorted from moisture damage. It was all but impossible to not flood the bathroom floor with the shower setup. The climate controls had faulty relays and worked intermittently. The rooms listed " Kitchenette with refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and cookware/dishware" had no dishware and only a large stock pot, ladle and spatula (we had to request dishes and utensils) they brought ONE set of eating utensils not two. We were asked to NOT cook by the desk as sometimes it trips fire alarm. The most we could do boil water for brewing coffee that we had brought. The hotel breakfast was downgraded from previous stay. (Thankfully we brought and brewed our own coffee and filters) In emails with hotel ownership or upper management there was an offer of a free night if we agreed to move again to renovated room. She indicated that she was going to personally inspect the initial issues we brought up the following day but we did not hear back from her until we messaged her after we our seven day stay. There was some language (Spanish/English) issue in her emails that made her offer unclear despite her (appreciated) best efforts. I am curious why were were moved into a room needing repairs if renovated rooms offered later were sitting idle) Each reply became less cordial, implying that the odor did not exist. Denial of obvious problems is not a solution. We will not stay there again.…
The location, service and accommodations were first rate. Found when we stayed for a tour, and would highly recommend. Everyday breakfast was great, and had the best osso buco I’ve had for dinner (especially hotel cafe). Neighborhood is very safe, walkable with cafes all over. So close to Plaza San Martin and not far from Puerto Madero. Can’t wait to visit again.
It is a very good hotel, perfect location, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the room (a small suite) was very clean, well kept and most enjoyable. The neighborhood is great, with lots of little bars and restaurants and interesting art shops and galleries. Perfect location for someone who wants to be in the heart of town.
Very big breakfast buffet and nice facilities with rooftop pool and big gym. Massage and jacuzzi also available although I did not try these. I would recommend staying here if you seek comfort in the heart of the city.
The hotel was in a very good position in the tourist, popular area of the city. It was very easy to get around and most places were within walking distance. The hotel itself was modern, comfortable with excellent staff.
